"Bella, Bella, wake up!" Alice voice was slightly louder than I had expected. I saw that Bella was startled by the noise as her eyelids started to flutter.
"What…happened?" Bella stuttered, "W…Where am I?" I could tell that she didn't know what to say. Even with her eyes shut, she looked confused.
"You're at my house, Bella. Don't worry everything is alright." Alice's voice was getting louder now. It was like she was shouting but I didn't know if Bella heard it that way. After all everything was louder and clearer in my world.
"Bella, are you alright?" I was talking now. She opened her eyes and I smiled the crooked smile I knew she loved.
"Edward?" She couldn't help smiling. "I missed you so much Edward."
"I have been with you the whole time Bella, don't worry."
"What happened? Why am I lying here?"
"Ok, Bella, just relax. When I tell you why you have to promise not to freak out. Promise?"
"Promise!"
"Well, I told you something earlier to day and I think it scared you a little bit so you passed out." To her, I knew my voice would sound perfect to her but I couldn't help the sound of worry that was in my voice.
"What did you tell me? I can't remember."
"He told you he was a vampire." Once again Alice was speaking. I knew I wouldn't be able to talk to Bella alone without being interrupted. Sometimes I wished that Bella and Alice weren't friends just so I could talk to Bella on her own a little more. Then again Alice was the best friend Bella would ever have and in a way it bought Bella closer to me.
