Darkness.

That was all he could see . He tried to remember where he was , but nothing came to his mind . It was becoming cold , he wrapped his arms over himself , trying to warm himself . He was shivering , overcome with cold.

His lips were numb, palms cool.

Calm down,stay calm

He could hear voices in the darkness . Calling out to him. Coming from straight ahead .

He slowly inched his way forward .

He tried to open his mouth , tried to reply back, but words failed to come . He strained his ears to hear them , the sounds echoing through his mind , but all he could hear was a loud buzzing.

He wanted to leave , leave the darkness , see the light once more .

He kept going on.

He tried to feel out in front of him , tried to hold on to something, someone .

Nothing.

As his panic grew, he tried to stay calm , moving towards the voices. The dark was slowly fading, the black turning to a gray .

He had a feeling , he was almost there.

The sounds were growing louder now . He could hear sobs as he tried to take it all in , it was becoming unbearable.

And the light, it was burning his eyelids, he tried to shut it out, he almost wanted the darkness to return . Gasping for breath , he was sweating and shivering , at the same time .

Hold on, you're almost there

Slowly the light became bearable , the sounds dimmed to a low hum, his breathing slowed . He opened his eyelids, and was blinded with bright colors and forms . He closed them. Slowly he opened them again.

He tried to make out the blurred forms bending over him , reaching out , trying to pull him out of the void, where he was stuck .

He blinked once, twice.

The hazy forms became sharper, he could see the lines that defined them .

He could see her smile, eyes brimming with tears, tears trickling down her nose as she bent over to reach him. He knew her , memories flooding his mind . Hazel . He shut his eyes as she hugged him, holding on to her, never wanting to let go.

His heart almost stopped beating as soon as he saw him, a warm fuzzy feeling spreading through his body. His eyes, smile , so familiar . Will! His mind called out to him , embracing the fact that he was there . Right there, beside him. He reached out, grasped his hand .

He could feel the sunshine , the soft breeze , cooling down his hot skin .he now knew where he was.

Memories

He scanned his surroundings, seeing the world for what it really was . Calm.

His eyes went back to there faces , a lump forming in his throat .

His eyes lit up , and he smiled.

Knowing that he had made it .
