Kelah's POV
I bit my lip. "Bill, I really don't want to do this. Can we get some other Pandorian to do it?"
He shook his head eagerly. "I want to see you in action."
Tom smirked as he sat in my office, also known as my red patent-leather stool, with chrome accents. "You want action, Bill? Is that what you want?"
Bill threw the earring gun at Tom's crotch. He doubled over, groaning in pain. His dreadlocks flopped over his head, and whipped me in the butt. I jumped in surprise, and stumbled forward. I tripped over an earring case, and landed with my chest pressed to Bill's lap, completely bent over. Georg and Ilana burst out in a laughing fit, so they were practically rolling around on the ground with tears in their eyes.
Ah, the exciting life of a 'Master Piercer'...All my friends impeded on my employee discount at Pandora's Jewelry Box. I had so many piercings along both of my ears, one on my eyebrow, and one on my tongue. The only person who was beating me in the piercing race was Mary, but she was too busy working at Cinnabon at the other end of the mall to witness Bill's attempt to get me to pierce his tongue.
"Keel-ahhh."
I quickly scrambled off his legs, and stood fully upright with my cheeks on fire. "I...um...uh..." I glanced up at his face, and he had his tongue sticking out at me. I rolled my eyes with desperation and whined. "It's going to bleed, Bill! You're afraid of blood!"
"That's why I want you to do it." he said, with a collected smile. It was slightly ironic that he had to console me when I was about to put a whole in his body. "I trust you, just hurry up. I have to piss."
Tom handed me my gun, and I leveled the clamp around Bill's tongue. I closed my eyes.
"No! Don't close your eyes!" Bill panicked. I swallowed hard, and nodded.
"Alright, um, deep breaths. Don't scream...Focus on Tom's dreads and breath through your nose so you don't gag." I said quickly. I pressed down on the trigger. There was a sickening squirting noise, and the blood began to flow. He winced, and snatched the paper towel roll out of my shaking hands. "I'm so sorry! Oh my God! This was a bad idea!" I was hyperventilating when Tom put his hands on my upper arms.
"Calm down. You're going to make him cry." Tom said, trying not to laugh.
I glanced over my shoulder at Bill. He was eagerly drinking an Orange Julius in huge, inhuman gulps. "I'm fine, Kelah, really." He was talking like his tongue was numb. He was slurring all his words. I put my head in my hands, and pushed my hair out of my face.
"I look like a motherfucking rockstar, man!" Bill said, with the paper towel in his mouth. "Hells yeah!"
"God, you sound like such a scene girl," I laughed behind my hand.
Tom was still holding me, I noticed, and I didn't know what to think. I bent down to tie my shoes, though they didn't need tied and tucked my hair behind my ear.
Before I had a chance to jump in surprise, Bill's arm engulfed me in a massive bear hug. He tossed me over his shoulder like a duffel bag, and turned around to face my boss, my friend Shena. She'd slept with Tom more than once on occasion.
"Peeling out early, Shena. Kelah's not feeling very good right now." He said, "I'm going to take her home, if that's alright with you."
Shena nodded, not looking up from her magazine, and popped her gum. "Tell her not to come in tomorrow if she's sick. People get infected really easily."
Bill nodded, and carried me gently out to the parking-lot.
