For Every Snowflake
Summary: For every snowflake that fell that night, Ran had a wish.
Ran looked out the Agency window, ignoring the slight cold and dark permeating the room that surrounded her. All she could do was watch.
She was watching the snowflakes. She couldn't sleep, due to the fact she didn't know where her Childhood Friend was, or how he was doing.
As such, she looked out the window that cold December night, and wished on every snowflake.
She wished he was here, first of all. If he was here, then Christmas wouldn't be so lonely.
Ran looked upwards in thought, wishing again.
She then nodded slightly, confirming her wish. 'I also wish that bodies weren't dropping like flies around us,' she muttered darkly, hoping that any deity up there would hear her. It was a problem they had often.
Her face then started to have a glazed over look... Like she was daydreaming. 'I also wish, Snowflake, that even when the world has felt like it has been thrown up in flames, that even through the darkest times, that Shinichi would be here. I miss him.' whispered Ran, tears forming.
"But I think, above all... I wish that wishes could come true," she said to the night, not knowing of the shadowed figure eavesdropping on her late-night wishing.
The figure... called "Conan", moved slightly, closing the door with as little sound as possible. He walked back upstairs to the room he shared with Kogoro, then watched the snowflakes outside the window. He then made a wish of his own, his voice a faint murmur.
"I wish I could tell you."
Yay, Author's note!
It seems that when one stays up late, weird plunnies hit them.
This is a little angsty but sweet nonetheless. :)
I hope you enjoyed! Remember to Review! They cause fanfiction writers to actually write. ;)
