If You Knew What I Knew

Jason Lee Scott was sitting at the Juice Bar as he took a break from lifting weights that sunny Monday afternoon. He wanted to get his mind off of the loss of the green ranger's powers, as well as other events that circulated in his mind. As he sipped his drink, he heard the sound of two people laughing.

Tommy and Kimberly walked into the crowded gym slash juice bar as they began play fighting after Tommy received word about the girl that he offered be her date to the dance the following evening.

Jason sighed as he looked at the couple. He sipped his drink as he watched the two, observing every gesture with every laugh came a sigh or a slight smile. He looked over at them as he continued sighing to himself.

"Hey bro," Tommy said as he looked up at his friend. Kimberly sat next to him as a slight blush came to his toned cheeks. He tried hiding it as he looked up at his best friend. "You'll never guess who's going with me to the dance."

"Who?" he inquired looking at the petite brunette, but hiding his Cheshire grin.

"Kim, isn't that great bro?"

The muscular, tall brown-haired man adorned in red smiled in happiness at his friend. He was happy for him, but his heart sank at the words of who he was taking. He wanted to ask her, he really did.

"Who're you taking?" Kim asked in wonderment, dwindling her straw.

Jason didn't say anything. He sighed a little as he sipped his drink. He looked at the time, hoping only Trini came with Billy, so he could talk.

The weekend finally weekend was here. Everyone anticipated the dance as everyone heard the blazing of music from the speakers. Jason was dancing with Trini as they enjoyed their evening.

From a distance, Kim and Tommy were dancing with laughs and smiles that adorned their faces. Zack joined the bunch as he danced in front of the petite gymnast, Tommy was in behind, sandwiching his date.

Billy, on the other hand, was dancing with his date Kelsey, who was a ballerina and a family friend of his. Jason sighed to himself as he looked over constantly at the couple, eyeing Kimberly.

As the music faded, some soft sounds of music were placed on the dance floor. It was noted by the DJ as guy's choice. Jason smiled as he mustered up to ask Kimberly to dance before Tommy did.

"Kimmie," he said as he walked up to her. The petite brunette looked up as she smiled.

"Yeah, Jase?" she answered, turning to him.

Before a further conversation could go on, Tommy's hand crossed over to Kim's, offering to dance as Jason sighed watching the couple. Trini rested her head on her friend's shoulder.

"Tell me later bro."

"Alright."

If she knew, what I knew, we'd be together instead, he sighed softly as he took Trini by the hand to dance.
