Rose Tyler leaned against the blank white wall. "NO!" She pounded it with her fist.
I'll be the one if you want me to.
In a parallel dimension, The Doctor pressed himself to the same wall quietly.
Anywhere I would've followed you.
Please, Rose pleaded. She didn't know to whom. He needs me.
Say something
I'm giving up on you.
Slowly, painfully, The Doctor turned to walk away. He thought of all the things he could've done differently, things that wouldn't have lead to this. Please, he thought. I need her.
And I
am feeling so small.
It was over my head,
I know nothing at all.
Rose walked away slowly. She had been so foolish. All of those choices she made, all of them had put both of them in this position. Because she needed him, too.

will stumble and fall.
I'm still learning to love,
just starting to crawl.
Why? The Doctor thought miserably. All of those chances to tell her how he felt, and he never did. Putting her in danger, even asking her to come with him in the first place. It was selfish of him.

Rose started awake, hearing her Doctor's voice calling her.
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you.
The Doctor had found a way. He would right his wrong.

She followed his voice. She followed him one last time.

She stood in front of him, no, in front of his hologram. She didn't care anymore. She needed to tell him. She tried, but no sound came. "I, I love you!' She finally choked out.

She had said her part, and now he needed to say his.
"Quite right, too." Idiot!
"And, I suppose it's my last chance to say it,"
