John Cena was far from perfect. Trish Stratagias could see that and she still loved him, despite the flaws.
Her family couldn't stand him. They thought he was under Trish. He rapped which made him 'dirty' and 'undesirable'. They didn't care that she was happy with him. They just didn't like him.
Yet, late at night, she found herself thinking about everything people told her. Yet, she couldn't see herself with anyone else. Her mind always drifted to the snoring lump beside her.
He never failed to make her laugh. If she was feeling down, he was there to bring her back up. If she was sick, he was there to make sure she was all better.
Trish couldn't imagine spending her life with anyone else. If he were to EVER leave her, she was sure to go mad.
Every time she looked into his eyes, she saw their future. Marriage, children, it was all there. The slight touch of his hand against her skin was appt to make her remember nights past, nights to come. It was scary what his touch did to her.
People said Trish was crazy for loving him. Yet, they had never seen the way he'd go to hell and back for her. They didn't see the way he paced the waiting room when she was injured.
They didn't see that side of him.
Trish KNEW if they saw that side of him, they wouldn't doubt him. They would have no reason to. He treated her like the treasure she was.
John was romantic. Most of her girlfriends were shocked to find this out. 'Eww,' they said. 'That man doesn't have a romantic bone in his body'.
They didn't see the romantic bubble baths for two. They didn't see seductive chocolate fondue dinners. People made assumptions based on his outer appearance.
Trish couldn't wait until they had children. John would spoil their babies rotten. He would be the best daddy in the world. Their children would be so lucky.
Although she had seen him at his best, Trish had also seen him at his worst. She had seen him near death, from pneumonia. She had bailed him out of jail. She had seen him cry as they buried his brother.
She had been the only one to ever see him cry.
He had seen her at his worst. He had watched her cry, as they told her she had come THIS close to losing John. He had seen her angry, over having to bail him out of jail. He had seen her heart literally broken, as he cried over his brother's casket.
He knew someone as flawed as he was didn't deserve such an angel. She should have left him the first time he had ever screwed up.
Yet, she didn't.
Her family hated him. Her friends couldn't understand what she saw in him. All Trish knew was one thing.
She loved him. He was hers. That was all that mattered.
THE END
