A/N: Okay so I checked out the Bat Boy Original Cast Recording from my towns Library today (among other musical recordings...I went in there for one purpose….the novel Legally Blonde and then I came out like 20 minutes with three CDs and the book) and I was listening to it and I quickly fell in love with the song "Inside Your Heart" and the last verse or so of the song is completely Elle/Emmett..so I was like "OMIGOD SONG FIC! TIME FOR ME TO WRITE A NEW FAN FIC FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS!" XD Anyway here…..

Elle sat at the airport in her terminal and looked at her pink watch with a sigh as her mind replayed the events that had happened the night before
"There she is intern of the year" Emmett smiled, true love hidden behind his grin
"Thanks for helping me Emmett and for treating my decently" Elle wiped tears from her eyes
"What's wrong?" He asked as his smile disappearing
"Maybe you could visit me someday, you know call and say hello"
"Where are you going Elle?"
"Sorry I am letting down everyone"
"What are you talking about?"
"You did you're best with a hopeless case"
"That's ludicrous"
"You are the best thing about this place" They said at the same time
"Elle….you should know-"He figured maybe if he told her now she'd change her mind
"Callahan hit on me" She cut him off fresh tears welling up
"He what?" Emmett looked angry outraged
"He kissed me, he fired me, and he made it very clear I don't belong here" Elle headed for the door but Emmett stopped her
"Elle, he's wrong….we'll fix this…we'll fight it…don't go…" Emmett said softly, tears were starting to well up in his eyes.
"Emmett" She brought her hand to his cheek and sighed shakily "I'm sorry" Elle realized she had her hand on his cheek and brought it down quickly "There's no reason for me to stay"
"Elle-"Emmett was about to protest but she closed the door on him he sighed "-I love you"
And that brings us back to here…Elle sitting in the terminal waiting for her plane back to California…Emmett on the other hand had been lying broken hearted and sighed, the one person he ever truly was in love with was about to leave his life forever…could he let her?...Wait…what I am doing…I have to stop her
Emmett got up off his ratty old couch and rushed to her to dorm and saddened discovering…it was empty
"Shit…" He sighed heavily…maybe if he hurried…he ran out of the dormitories and got into his car and raced to the airport nearly running people over on the way.
"Flight 1213 To LAX is now boarding" A woman over the intercom.
Elle was about to hand her ticket over and board the plane when…
"ELLE!" Emmett called and she sped around shocked to see Emmett barreling over travelers and finally stopping in front of her
He took a minute to catch his breath "Elle…you can't go. Don't listen to Callahan you're so much more than just a pretty smile and I love you"
"Emmett-"Elle started
"No" He cut her off "You don't know what your saying Elle! You're smart and kind and caring and one hell of a lawyer and-"
Elle silenced him by pressing her lips on his, Emmett was shocked for a second but soon kissed her back, Elle pulled away.
"Shut up" She smiled "That's it, I'm staying" She kissed him again.
