"Shut up, Malfoy," Rose snarled as she whipped out her wand. "One more word and I will make you blow chunks."

Scorpius Malfoy sneered as he jabbed a finger at Rose's chest. Situated in the middle of the cheerful Christmas decorations decked throughout the Great Hall, the tension building up between the two seemed unmistakably out of place.

"Oh, going to defend her now? Going to wear her ugly sweater even though you know you hate it?" teased Scorpius as he gave her chest another stab. The faint chorus of a Christmas carol could be heard drifting in the background.

Rose flushed, her messy brown locks framing a dangerous set of blue eyes. She slapped away Scorpius's hand with her wand and crossed her arms over her chest. She had woken up this morning to a wonderful batch of Christmas presents, and the classic Weasley sweater had undoubtedly been included in the pile. Grandma Weasley had decided to knit her yet another maroon sweater this year, what a surprise. A rough gold "R" was embedded into the sweater's center. R for Rose.

"Grandma knitted it with her love," defended Rose as she turned away from Scorpius in contempt and started walking towards the Gryffindor table. "It's a Weasley tradition and you know it, you git."

Scorpius grinned as he followed Rose. In one fluid motion he grabbed her wand away with one hand and enveloped her waist with the other. "Now, now, we're getting quite touchy, here, aren't we?" he whispered into her ear, his breath hot and musky against her skin. "Is it that time of the month again?"

Rose turned on her heels and stared Scorpius right in the eye, her eyes glaring with a mixture of anger and amusement. She threw her arms around his neck, attempting to grab back her wand, to no avail. Curse those long arms of his. "Ah, yes, I guess we should call a raincheck for tonight, then?" she teased as she lowered her voice to a husky murmur. Her lips dangled an inch from Scorpius's, the silent question understood by both.

"I will hex you, Rose Weasley, if you dare cancel on me tonight," threatened Malfoy as he covered her lips with his own. With a small moan, Rose eased herself into the kiss and let her body melt into Scorpius's body. All those Quidditch matches were certainly paying off, she thought as she slowly trailed her hands downwards, to her wand.

"Thank you very much, Malfoy," Rose said as she broke off the kiss abruptly, mission accomplished. Her eyes shone with an impish glint, and she waved her wand in triumph. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm famished." Scorpius blinked in surprise at the sudden turn of events, before chuckling in defeat.

"Until tonight, Weasley," promised Scorpius as he watched her retreat back to the Gryffindor table. With his now empty hands stowed back into his robe pockets, he turned on his heels and slowly slinked his way to the Slytherin table, ignoring the crowd that had been attracted to their little morning.
