I had to write something like this, it was bugging me…I thought of this one day after reading the 6th book, and I'm sure others probably did too. But, if you haven't…think about it, and I think you'll see that it – more than likely – is the truth…
I wanted to get to the point, so I wrote this really quickly, but if you want me to go into detail and stuff, I'll continue on what happens before this and rewrite this post…which I may do anyway, I just really wanted to say it…
- So, I'm sorry it's really crappy and everything, I hope you'll forgive me and believe me in saying this is not what I can do ultimately…this was a rushed work.
The Final Horocrux
"Harry! We need to focus!" Hermione screamed. Books were scattered about the room She, Harry and Ron stood in.
"I know that, Hermione! I am not trying to goof off!" Harry shouted back at her. Ron stared at them both before rising from the chair he had been sitting in.
"Calm down, you two. We are never going to find this out in time if you are screaming…"
"I KNOW! SHUT UP AND LET ME THINK!" Harry couldn't help but shout. He was so frustrated. Hermione burst into tears.
"We have an hour! An hour before Voldemort is going to use the weapon against all of mankind! We must find the last Horocrux!"
Harry breathed in deeply, calming down, and responding.
"Ron…can you re-read what we wrote?"
Ron nodded and turned to the desk located behind him. He picked up a small scroll of parchment, unrolled it, and began to speak.
"The Account of the Order's Traveling Trio.
"We have discovered six of the seven horocruxes in our ventures after leaving Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. All but two have been destroyed. The being himself, and the undiscovered Horocrux.
"As of recently, we have also discovered the great weapon Lord Voldemort holds against us, an unknown curse to us. This curse, when spoken, has power to destroy all life within a 1,000 mile radius of the enchanter. It has thus been proven among the Merpeople, who have been wiped out entirely by this horrid enchantment.
"Having discovered this, a new threat has been made clear to us. Voldemort has placed one of his minions in several unknown places around the entire globe, and has told us that if we do not bring the final Horocrux to him, unharmed, within twenty-four hours, he will command each of the deatheaters to perform the unmentionable curse and wipe out all life on Earth but theirs and his own. It is thus our mission to find the final Horocrux before the dreadful fate comes. If we fail, however, we have made this document to explain the difficult and impossible situation, and plead that, if there is still time, someone may use the information we have gathered and secure the world."
Ron rolled up the scroll and looked at them.
"The rest is the prophecy and a list of the Horocruxes found…"
Harry shook his head, "There is no connection whatsoever between the items used…and we know that Nagini is not the final one…"
Hermione looked at the ground in thought, automatically repeating the prophecy to herself.
"…one cannot live without the other…But- Harry, it makes no sense! All the research leads to nothing…and we've been told that the prophecy holds the key!"
Harry closed his eyes, furrowing his brow.
One cannot live without the other…
Harry jumped, startled, and realizing the answer all at once. His eyes glazed over and he stared, frightened, and slowly knowing he was right.
Connection with Voldemort…have his powers…destroyed him only for a while…cannot live without the other…I am…
Harry looked at his friends, his best friends, and spoke in a low, void tone.
"I am the last Horocrux. His soul is contained…inside me."
