Laila just gave birth. Three kits, two male, one female. It was unusual to have such a small litter. Even more unusual was that the female kit was born with dark brown fur instead of black. This is believed to be a birth defect.

The female kit is growing at an extremely fast rate. She is no longer dependent on Laila for warmth, something that should not happen until summer. She will not live long if she continues to grow so quickly. The two males are normal.

The chief's daughter, Katalina, came to visit. Katalina, only seven, named the female kit Pixie after her favorite doll. She did not name either of the male kits, saying that only Pixie needed a name.

A nearby volcano erupted. There was not enough time to save all the animals. Laila and her kits were not saved.

A strange rock has appeared near the volcano. The rock is warm and there is a strange marking on it. It almost looks like a flame. We decided to call it the Lava Rock until we find out more about it.

There have been rumors of a small brown fox wandering around the old building. According to the rumor, the brown fox has a pure white tail that is splitting at the tips. However, no one has ever actually seen where it lives, if it even exists. They call the fox Volcano.

There have been an outbreak of fires lately. Every witness claims to have seen a brown fox with six white tails start them. That rumor is getting out of hand!

The chief's daughter was mauled by a wild animal yesterday. It's a miracle she wasn't killed! When she was asked how she saved herself, Katalina said that Pixie saved her. She is being held at the hospital.

Katalina died today. The chief insists that Volcano killed her. He must be insane with grief to believe that a rumored fox killed his only daughter. Katalina's two brothers are planning her funeral.

The chief has ordered us to find and kill Volcano. The most recent sighting has Volcano with six dark brown tails at the old building.

We've discovered the remains of Laila and her two male kits. We could not find Pixie's remains. Additionally, a Lava Rock has appeared here. Unlike the one we have, this Lava Rock is pale orange.

The rumors were true! Volcano exists! A brown fox with six dark brown tails has appeared near Laila's remains. However, it fled when it saw us.

We have finally cornered Volcano. As we prepare to catch it, Volcano backs up to the Lava Rock and touches it. Volcano is suddenly engulfed in a white light and when it dies down, a cream colored fox with nine tails stands in it's place. It opens it's mouth and fire shoots out before looking at us. The chief's older son shoots it. As it lays dying, I could swear that it's cursing us.

There are no more foxes. They all vanished after Volcano's death. The only thing left that even resembles them are the brown fox like creatures that say only one word.
"Vulpix."
