Jet Link scrambled out of the cherry red automobile, not stopping until he reached the garage door, resting one hand against it to keep from collapsing. After taking several moments to try and catch his breath, he managed to get out, "I... am never... ever... getting into a car with you again."

Albert Heinrich closed the car door behind him, then stepped around the vehicle to shut the passenger door (in his panic, Jet hadn't bothered). "C'mon, Jet. Don't you think you're overreacting just a little?"

"You nearly ran over a dog!"

"Which I avoided," Albert countered.

"Yeah. You were so busy avoiding it, you nearly drove us into a tree!"

"... Okay, it may not have been the safest ride in our lives, but it wasn't that bad."

"Heinrich, all of this happened while we were still in Professor Kozumi's driveway!"

The German cyborg's mouth twitched, obviously annoyed. "I'm so sorry. Guess all the years I spent as a truck driver I was more worried about actually getting my job done instead of complaining about a few bumps on the road."

Jet rolled his eyes, felt around in his pocket for the house key, and unlocked the door. "Don't even get me started on what happened on the road home." As soon as he was inside, he kicked off his shoes and tossed his jacket on the couch. Chang would probably bitch him out later, but oh well.

His teammate was behind him, busy unknotting his scarf. "Personally, I think you're just upset that we went where I wanted to go tonight."

Jet let out a snarl of frustration. Albert had a tendency to piss him off, but he was really going out of his way this time. "Explain to me again why I just didn't fly there?"

"Because what we did in the car you can't do in mid-air?"

He froze, shuddering involuntarily from the memory of what they had done not too long ago, looked over his shoulder to get a glimpse of Albert... who was looking uncharacteristically smug. Much too smug for his own damn good. So Jet did the only thing he could do at that moment: he grabbed him and kissed him. Rough, hard, and greedy, sneaking his tongue in when he felt him kiss him back. He knew he'd gotten his point across when Albert finally pulled away, glassy-eyed and flustered.

"Next time, I'll take us both flying. Then I'll show you what I can do in mid-air."
