This was inspired by an omegle conversation I had when I opened with the quote "Did you miss me?" This guy made my night! (Well, morning really).

I do not own any of the characters.

I waited in the shadows as Sherlock Holmes, the great detective who thought me dead, walked in to the room.

"I know you are here." He said quietly.

"Did you miss me?" I asked, emerging with a smile on my face. His hair was rumpled, and, if possible, he was breathing heavily.

"Maybe I did, Moriarty." He said, chuckling. I hid my surprise at the answer as I dug in to my pocket and placed a piece of gum in my mouth.

"Just wasn't my time to die." I said simply, meeting his eyes with a tilt of my head.

"Fake bullets, I assume, how clever." He said, narrowing his eyes. Ah, he believed he had the answer to my death.

"Perhaps." I said, grinning. "But only someone ordinary would jump to such a conclusion."

"Oh well, Jim." My heart raced as he said my name and I took a step forward. "Maybe I let you slip away, just so I could catch you again. Like fish from a barrel."

"We do complete each other." I said, trying to keep the breathlessness from my voice. "Make our lives less boring."

"I am already complete, you are just a hollow shell. But it does make a total of one person, you're right…" He trailed off, stepping closer to me and closing most of the space. "Jimmy."

"Then how shall I end your story?" I asked, smirking. "How shall I finish this chapter between you… and I?"

He grabbed me, slamming me in to the nearest wall and bringing his lips close to mine. My hands trailed up his arms and he kissed me gently.

"Thank you…" I whispered, pulling him closer to me. "Thank you for not being ordinary."

Yes, I know, not very long, but I felt like it needed little else to make it perfect. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! Please review and read my other fics :)
