Allegiant spoilers! MAJOR! Do not read if you have not finished the final book in the series!(This warning especially goes to you, sis. You have not finished Allegiant yet. And I am serious!) For those who have finished it, only you may continue.
This may be sad, but I tried to put as much love in it as possible, to numb the pain.
All I hear is a pounding in my own ears. All I see I blackness swirling in front of my eyes. Sometimes it gets shattered by the pain, the horrible, brutal pain. Other times I can remember standing in front of a window. Then the glass shatters and someone screams. That's when the world first went black.
Then that feeling stops. Everything stops. The pounding and blackness disappear. I pry open my eyes to see a grinning face.
It is Marlene's.
I smile, and she laughs. "Uriah," she says. I smile wider as she pulls me to my feet. "You made it."
"Yes Mar," I say back. "Was I good? Did I do right?"
"Perfect," She replies, tears forming in her eyes."Just as I wanted you to."
I plant a kiss on her lips just as another voice says," Hello Uriah."
I turn to see Lynn, looking as pale as she did on the stretcher back in Erudite headquarters. She walks forward and embraces me."I'm so happy for you Uriah."
I start to tear up, my whole face beaming. Behind me is a beautiful light. I turn to face this light. It is very bright, but I don't squint. I walk directly into it, with Mar and Lynn behind me.
All I think is:I'm sorry Zeke. Sorry mom. I'm sorry I never said goodbye.
I know Zeke. I know you miss me. Mom, I know you do too. But I'm in a place you would love to be in. A world where all factions are combined. Where everyone is a bit of every faction. Where I know you are proud of me. I love you forever.
Mar grabs my hand and starts skipping beside me like an Amity girl. I smile and wrap my arms around her waist. She screams as I lift her up and twirl her around. Lynn laughs and claps while I smile into Mar's laughing eyes. I feel happier than I ever was with the two of them. I set Marlene down carefully and gather her and Lynn into a big hug."I'm so happy to see you again," I say.
"We are too," Mar says, wrapping one arm around my waist and the other around Lynn. I feel so good now. Like I've made a difference in the world I just left.
All I hope is that everyone I know is safe. That Zeke and Shauna will fall in love. Real love. And to those who didn't make it-well I guess I will see you in this world. Safe from harm.
Forever.
Hana grabs Uriah's hand and presses it to her lips. It is the last time she will see her precious son."I love you Uriah," she whispers."I love you so much."
She leaves the room, tears falling down her cheeks.
If you thought this was sweet and very moving, please review. If you are a Uriah fan, please review. Especially if you are pro-Mariah.(That is a Uriah+Marlene ship name. Don't know if it's official, but who cares?)
