Kurt and Blaine have been best friends for as long as they can remember. They were only 8 and 7, but to them, it seemed like forever.

They were finally on summer break, and they were having a fun day at Kurt's house with his mom.

Blaine loved Mrs. Hummel. She was always smiling and bringing them cookies.

They were sitting in Kurt's room, having a tea party when Kurt's mom popped in.

"Are you boys doing okay?" Mrs. Hummel asked.

Both of the boys nodded; their mouths were full of crackers from the tea party.

"I'm just going to run down to the basement for a few minutes to do some laundry, okay?" Mrs. Hummel smiled.

"Okay, Momma," Kurt said around the crackers in his mouth, "we'll be real good. I promise."

"That's my big boy." Mrs. Hummel said, kissing Kurt, and then Blaine, on the head and then left the room.

Kurt watched his mother leave and heard her go down the stairs.

"Blaine," Kurt said with a mischievous grin, "how do you feel about a makeover?"

Ten minutes later, Kurt had Blaine sitting in front of his Momma's makeup table, wearing very dark blue eye-shadow and bright red lipstick.

Kurt giggled as Blaine puckered his lips.

"Kurt," Blaine mumbled, "it tickles!"

"I'm sorry Blaine, but that's the price of beauty." Kurt said, concentrating on staying on Blaine's lips with the lipstick.

"Are boys supposed to be beautiful? My daddy always calls me handsome." Blaine said with a confused look on his face.

"I don't see why boys can't be beautiful." Kurt says, "I think that the rest of your face should be as pretty as your eyes."

Kurt said this very matter-of-factly, leaving little Blaine confused.

"You think my eyes are pretty?" Blaine questions, blinking very fast.

"Well, yeah." Kurt says, "Don't you think they are?"

Blaine shrugs, turning towards the mirror.

"I always wanted eyes like yours." Blaine says, blushing slightly.

"Really?" Kurt asks, tilting his head to the side.

"Mhm. Kurt?" Blaine asks, suddenly nervous.

"Yeah, Blaine?" Kurt says, still putting lipstick on his friend's lips.

"Can two boys kiss?" Blaine says, ducking his head, making Kurt accidently smear lipstick on his cheek.

Both of the boys laugh at this, and then Kurt turns to Blaine.

"My Momma always tells me I can love whoever I want. And don't people in love kiss each other? My daddy always kisses me."

"No, I mean," Blaine says quietly, "like, two boyfriends?"

This takes Kurt a second, but he finally answers saying, "My Momma always says I can marry a prince if I want."

Blaine smiles and kisses Kurt on the cheek, leaving behind a kiss mark.

"Look," Blaine points, "I gave you a lipstick tattoo."

That makes them both giggle. And that's how Mrs. Hummel finds them, giggling with her lipstick all over their faces.

They go on to have a wonderful day, forgetting about the serious conversation they had together. But as Blaine falls asleep that night he just hopes that one day he can be Kurt's prince.
