Yukari knew this was not right.

Whenever she saw the new transfer student in a crowd of unfamiliar faces, there was a feeling that pulled her against her will.

The sight of the new girl struck something deep in her mind. Something she needed to remember, and she only knew that the fact she didn't was supposed to break her heart.

Before her leader started to spend time with her, Yukari could not explain her already undying loyalty and trust. She thought she sometimes felt faint remainders of a bond that had gone through too much before they'd quickly disappear again.

There were promises she did not know existed, or rather, should not have known of. Sometimes she would not be able to sleep well at night, knowing there was something slowly eating her away. But she knew it was not natural to search for something that never existed.

To think the sight of the girl switching personas with such ease shouldn't have been nostalgic for her. And she shouldn't have felt annoyed that her friend's giggles were supposed to be subtler and gentler and maybe a few pitches lower.

It's when Yukari extends an offer to come to her room when the emotional struggle of nothing finally gets to her. Her best friend quickly tries to calm her down, hugging her close.

But Yukari knew the new girl wasn't supposed to be the one holding her. That someone else had already wiped away the tears that continued to fall. And she swears she hears whispers of sweet nothings she had heard before.

She sees blue strands among the red head or scarlet eyes fade to grey after staring into them for too long. Or even feels an all too familiar voice crying for her while the transfer student offers her words of comfort.

Yukari doesn't know what that means though.
