Namesake
Disclaimer: Not, not, not mine.
Thinking about the people they were named after, children of the Next Generation decided whether or not it's a good thing or a bad thing.
Ted Remus Lupin
Ted Remus Lupin had never met his grandfather and never knew his father but being named after them always made him feel like there was a connection to the two men that should have been in his life.
From the stories that he was told he could tell that he was named after two great men and it filled him with pride every time they were talked about.
Teddy had always liked his name, never questioned it or thought about its meaning. All he had to known was that he was named after two important men in his mother's life.
Molly Audrey Weasley
Molly had decided at a young age that she wanted to be just like her grandmother.
They had the same name after all; the same hair and their eyes were basically the same colour. She thought it would be the best thing in the world to be exactly like her grandmother.
Molly knows that she made the right choice not to be like her grandmother. She loves Molly Weasley the First because she's brave and caring but staying at home and looking after seven children wasn't the life for her.
As Molly looks back she's glad she didn't turn out…boring.
James Sirius Potter
James had always though being named after two of the most mischievous men ever to grace to world of Hogwarts was the best thing in the world.
So he took it upon himself to find three friends, steal the Marauders Map off his fathers desk, take the invisibility cloak and live up to his name.
The brilliant thing that came with the name James Sirius Potter was that fact that he could just blame it on his dad when he got into trouble at school. After all it was his father's fault he was named after two infamous marauders.
Albus Severus Potter
Albus Severus Potter had always thought his name clashed a bit.
He was named after Dumbledore, a good guy and Snape, who was made out to be a bad guy.
He wondered why he would be named after a mentor and a tormentor.
It wasn't until the year Albus went to Hogwarts that his father explained everything, including his name. It wasn't until he was heading off to Hogwarts that he learnt that he was named after two incredibly brave people.
And after that Albus Severus Potter only had to worry about being a Slytherin because he was named after one.
Fred Arthur Weasley
Fred Weasley wasn't quite sure why he was named after his dead uncle. He had never met the guy and all he had to go on were pictures taken throughout his father's childhood. He looks like his father and his uncle, but yet he doesn't act like his uncle.
Growing up he was fine with who he was, he liked his muggle toys and playing Quidditch in the backyard. He liked only getting into trouble for sticking up for his friends.
Now that he's grown up he can't stop thinking about that he could have been more like his uncle.
Lily Luna Potter
Lily Luna Potter wasn't sure whether or not to live up to her name.
She was Lily like her grandmother who apparently had a temper, but she didn't have a temper. Lily found it hard to be angry at people, even if they were bugging her. So she wasn't quite sure she was like the original Lily Potter. The name Luna wasn't something she wanted to live up to either, being eccentric and dreaming defiantly wasn't her thing.
So instead of being a Lily or a Luna she decided to be a Lily Luna, the first of her own kind.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed this, I wrote I quite randomly and quickly in my spare time.
