A sudden alarm woke Clarissa Fray from her sleep. She saw that it was only five in the
morning and tried to go back to sleep, but she couldn't.

She tossed and turned and almost fell off her bed. She hadn't been able to sleep lately. Not since that day.
Her alarm was the one that would wake her up at five, but she would still
wake up in the middle of the night, sweating, thinking about him.

She got off her bed, grabbed her silky, black robe and sat next to her window
looking up at what was almost hitting her sky as she remembered the ride she had with him.
She had just met him back then.

She flipped her phone open and saw missed calls from her friends and many messages.
She hadn't moved on from that night, that horrible night.
She went through her old
photos and deleted one by one.
Clary didn't want to keep hurting herself by having them in there.

She erased the messages and his number from her phone.
She knew she would regret it, but at the moment she didn't care.
She turned off her phone, closed it, and saw the morning star rise.

She stood up and smiled as she grabbed a photograph that was on her nightstand.
That was the last photo they had taken together before his death.
Clary thought the Angel Raziel would resurrect Jace, but he didn't.
She knew she would never forget Jace Wayland, as he would never forget her.
Clary set the photo back on her nightstand and went back to her warm, comfortable, bed.
Were she fell asleep with a smile on her face knowing that Jace was next to her.
