The alien glared at the human.
"Why should I trust you?" he accused.
The human was baffled. "This could be the end of both of us if we don't work together! You have to trust me!"
Zim's eyes narrowed. "Though you would be of use to me alive, I don't have to work with you and I can't afford to trust you, either."
"What do you mean?"
Zim smirked. "Every time we've had a truce, you are always the first to break it! Remember the bologna incident? The second I thought we had found the cure, you took it all for yourself and blamed me when it turned out to be wrong! The Halloweenies? You sacrificed me and went to save yourself! The Tak? Yes, I watched the computer's memory after you revealed that you had a spy bug in my base. I allowed you into my base and you planted that thing in it! Now tell me again, why should I trust you?"
