"Draco, have you seen my pearl earrings? The dangly ones?" Astoria called out from the bedroom to her boyfriend.

"Um, the silver ones?" Draco entered the room and walked over to the girl, "I think they were in the bedside drawer."

"I already checked there." Astoria frowned at herself in the mirror. "I really wanted to wear those, they match this dress perfectly." She gestured at the pale pink, flapper style, cocktail dress that she was wearing.

"Well, I think I might have something that matches that dress even better." Draco put his arms around the girl's waist and smiled at her in the mirror.

"Really now?" She turned into his arms and linked her hands behind his neck, smiling playfully at him.

"Truly." Draco kissed her forehead.

"And what might that be?"

"It's in the kitchen." Draco dropped his arms from around her waist and took her hands, "Come along."

"What in the kitchen would possibly match my dress?" Astoria wore an amused smile as Draco led her into their London flat's kitchen.

"You'll see." Draco dropped her hands and left her standing in the middle of the kitchen as he began rifling through the cabinet above the sink. "Close your eyes. And no peeking."

Astoria did as she was told, still smiling, "Draco, has anyone ever told you that you're a bit too theatrical?"

"Yes." Draco turned around smiling, "You have on several different occasions."

Astoria laughed. "Can I open my eyes yet?"

"Yes, you can." And when she did she saw Draco kneeling in front of her, "Story, I've been in love with you since you first told me to quit being a drama queen in that coffee shop four years ago. Every second that I'm with you just makes me want more, I love you and I want to be with you always. Astoria Kathryn Greengrass, will you marry me?"

Astoria watched as Draco opened the little black box he was holding to reveal a beautiful ring; a silver band with emeralds and diamonds all around it and right in the middle was a white pearl. "Oh, Draco." Astoria stumbled to know what to say; "I… Yes. Yes. Yes. Merlin yes!"

Astoria held out her hand and Draco slipped the ring on her finger and the stood and picked her up, he kissed her gently on the lips and she wrapped her arms around his neck, Draco pulled back to whisper; "I love you, Story."

"I love you too, Draco." Astoria grinned at him, "Even if you are a drama queen."

"You love me because of it, admit it." Draco said, beaming back at her.

"Just don't tell anyone that, I might still be able to convince people that I'm only marrying you for your money." Astoria kissed him again.

"Ah, so I put a ring on your finger and the truth comes out?" Draco continued to smile.

"Basically." Astoria smiled; she was now standing on tiptoe since Draco had sat her back on her feet.

"So, do you still want to go to the party?" Draco asked teasingly as he wrapped his arms around her waist again.

"So you think that one piece of jewelry can get you out of Georgia and Edward's New Year's party?" Astoria chuckled, "As if you want to miss it any more than I do."

"That is true, besides, I need to show off my new fiancé." Draco grinned at her and tucked a piece of her long blonde hair behind her ear.

"And I mine." Astoria smiled at him, "I think you'll like him."

"Really?" Draco smiled and pulled her closer.

"Oh yeah, he's tall, well built, nice muscles, great hair."

"You forgot unbelievably handsome and devilishly stylish." Draco smiled and then kissed her again.

"We're going to be late if you keep that up."

"It's called being fashionably late."

"Oh, is that what you kids are calling it these days?" Astoria smiled and kissed him back.

"It is, actually." Draco said, "So, do you want to be fashionable?"
