Unexpected Surprises
Chapter 1
Kairi Nakamura gazed outside her bedroom window, looking at the hills stretching beyond with a little dirt road traveling from the town. Living at the edge of the town, Kairi knew all about what a suburb is like, living on a large ranch with her parents and twin sister Namine. But she never knew what was beyond the small dirt road and the rolling green hills.
Kairi quickly finished her homework, and went downstairs to check on Namine, who was working on her latest art project.
"Namine, aren't you excited? Tomorrow's the big day!" Kairi exclaimed.
"What's so exciting about tomorrow? We're just visiting our brother school, which none of us know where it is."
"Gee it's not that! We're going to our brother school, which is located past the small dirt road right beside our house. I wonder what's out there…"
Namine smirked. "Kairi, you're always so adventurous. It'll eventually get you into trouble. And besides, I've heard enough rumors about the town past that road. Heard that it's full of gangsters and bikini girls on beaches. If those rumors are true, I'm not going back there again. (Kairi and Namine go to Twilight School for Girls. They are not used things like gangsters and beach girls) Anyway, do you really want to know?"
"Of course! What could be more fun? Sitting here and drawing all day like you do?" Kairi countered sarcastically.
"Oh please. Not my fault that you can't draw as well."
"At least I'm okay with piano…okay maybe not as good but at least I'm improving a lot."
"Anyway, I'm going to call Selphie to come over so we can prepare for tomorrow," Namine said, putting down her drawing notebook.
"Sure. Meet me in our room."

(at Destiny Academy)
"Sora!! Help me clean this up!" Roxas yelled into the bathroom.
"Come on, bro. It's your turn to clean the room," Sora, Roxas' twin brother, replied calmly.
"But the majority is your mess! Why would I want to deal with it?"
"Hey, I was in a hurry to get to class this morning, and I couldn't find my uniform."
"With all those sweaters, sweatpants, socks, and shoes, you're never gonna find your uniform."
"Fine, fine. I'm coming out," Sora answered impatiently.
Sora and Roxas Ishikawa live in Destiny Academy, a sports academy for boys (also academic but they are intense in sports), and they are majored into two sports: swimming and soccer. Also, conveniently, they are roommates. They are two of the new and also very popular boys, being captains of both the swimming and soccer teams.
"Hey Sora, you excited about 'girls' comin' to our school?"
"Not really. They're just girls anyway. What's the use?"
"They are hot, I can tell you."
"Last time I saw, not really."
"Think that way then. But I can guarantee you that you'll change your mind."
"Say whatever you want, Roxas. No wonder you're getting all yelled at by Ken. You don't aim as well as you used to before in soccer. Your brain is clouded with girls."
"Least I think about more than sports. You know, sports isn't the only thing in the world, Sora."
"We are in a sports school. It's the 'thing' for guys in this school."
"Who cares about that. Enjoy life."
"Whatever. Night, bro."
"Later."
What Sora didn't know was about how the next day would change his life. Seems that Roxas was right in a way then. Actually, both Sora and Roxas' lives will change.
