Tenten was just 6 years old then. She was walking down the streets of Konoha when she passed by the forest area in Konoha. She saw a little boy which had grayish-white eyes. He seems to be looking at a far of place. Up the sky. He seems sad and teary-eyed. Tenten felt she needed to approach the guy but she feels shy since he kind of like the guy. Yes, love struck her at an early age. Although she knew she was hopeless she knew she and the guy were meant to be.

Soon years passed Tenten met the guy again and this time she knew the guy's name. Hyuuga Neji. Tenten was group with him along with Rock Lee and their teacher Mito Gai. She learns his weakness and strengths as well. One day the same date she first saw Neji she sees him again sad which was unusual. 'Why is he sad?' She asked herself.
It was late in 1eptember
And I've seen you before and you were
You were always the cold one
But I was never that sure

Years passed by again she now knows why Neji is always sad during a specific day.
"That was the day my dad sacrificed his life for the main family." Neji stiffly replied to Tenten's question.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean…." Tenten apologized.
"It's alright." Neji said
Soon they were good friends. They knew that it was the start of a good friendship but a start of something new as well.

She fell more and more in love with Neji. And Neji as well secretly found Tenten lovable. Although there were times that Neji was sad and Tenten would always want to make all of Neji's troubles away she just would sit there beside him and supporting him through the troublesome times not letting him down. And for Neji that was more than enough.
