Hey guys, first story so it's a little short, reviews, comments and flames are all welcome. Italic+Bold is Ginny's thoughts, Italic is Harry's thoughts. And by the way, I don't own Harry Potter

"Hey uh Ginny, could you come here for a moment?" Harry asked the fiery red-headed Weasley.

"Yeah sure what's up?" Ginny replied.

Harry nervously scratched the back of his head and reminded himself of the lines he had rehearsed beforehand.

"Well um, I've got something I've been meaning to tell you and I was sorta hoping I could do that now, since we're alone.

Ginny looked around, realizing that they were indeed alone in the Room of Requirement. Since the DA meeting had ended, everyone was eager to make it back to their dormitories without getting caught. The Room always seemed to clear out fast, and now she was alone with Harry. Alone in a room with Harry fucking Potter. I wondered if he knows how much I love him, Ginny thought to herself. Harry was still nervously scratching the back of his head, messing up his already unruly mop of hair.

"What did you want to tell me Harry?"

"What I wanted to tell you was…I mean I wanted to tell you that…well you see…ah fuck why is this so hard," Harry exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air and starting to pace around the room. Ginny secretly smiled to herself. He's cute when he's angry. Harry was still muttering to himself, angry that his mouth was not cooperating. It had been so easy this morning when he had been rehearsing in front of the mirror in the bathroom. But then again, he hadn't been standing in front of a gorgeous flame haired goddess. Alright Harry, you can do this, just take a breath and spit it out. Harry straightened up and his eyes met Ginny's, who was doing her best not to laugh at the boy-who-lived. Ok you know what? I'm just gonna do it.

"Ginny, I think I'm in love with you."

Forget a pin, you could've heard a feather drop in the Room of Requirement. Ginny immediately felt warmth radiate across her cheeks and her chest. She couldn't believe Harry had just said that.

"H-Harry, could you repeat what you just said?"

Now it was Harry's turn to blush. "I uh, said I'm in love with you Ginny, have been for a while. I mea-"

Harry was cut off by Ginny rushing into his arms and squeezing her arms around him. Surprised for a moment, it took Harry a second to realize that she was hugging him and another second for him to wrap his arms around her. He felt her heart mimic the rapid staccato of his own heartbeat. Suddenly, he felt her shudder in his arms and when he pulled away, her saw the tear streaks running down her checks.

"Ginny what's wrong?"

"Bloody hell Harry," Ginny said, borrowing her brother's favorite phrase, "do you know how long I've been waiting to hear those words come from your lips." A smile grew across her face, pushing away the tears. "I can't wait to see Ron's face," she said, before crushing her lips to Harry's. Again it took a second for Harry to comprehend what was happening, but when he did, he responded with enthusiasm. Their kiss conveyed the longing that they had felt for each other, when they finally broke apart, both Gryffindor faces, were flushed. Looking at each other in each other's arms, Harry said, "This day has turned out even better than winning the Quidditch Cup."
