"No man can tell whether he is rich or poor by turning to his ledger.
It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich or poor according to
what he is, not according to what he has."
— Henry Ward Beecher
"I love you." The words fell out of his mouth easily. Jan Di shifted awkwardly – at a loss with words. Nobody had ever confessed love to her before, especially someone as famous as Gu Joon Pyo. She took a deep breath, her eyes searching his for something other than the love and honesty shining in them now.
"I'm sorry, Joon Pyo. I don't feel the same." She whispered, close to tears. She felt horrible, but leading him on would just make things worse.
"We're so different, Joon Pyo. I could never love you. We just don't match." Jan Di said softly, watching him carefully. She waited for a response but she didn't get one - instead he placed a hand on her cheek and she shivered at the sudden contact. His hand was cold and she wanted to step away and stay in the same place all at once.
"I could never love you." She repeated, placing her hand over his. It wasn't the best way to prove a point but she'd hoped it would make him realize she was serious. "My life isn't like yours. I'm not famous, for one. I listen to different music, read different books, I still go to school while you're the head of your family's company. Joon Pyo it wouldn't work. I don't want this."
"Tough shit." Joon Pyo replied, and before she could move he placed his lips on hers. She didn't know what to do, just stood there frozen. She counted two seconds before finally giving in.
A/N: A little fluffy One-Shot containig Joon Pyo and Jan Di, because they aren't having that much cute moments in the show (well, for me). Jan Di is always a loud mouthed girl and Joon Pyo isn't that much of a sweet heart too, so I thought I write this. Review lovelies ~*
