Remember Me
Time, sometimes the time just slips away
And you're left with yesterday
Left with the memories
I, I´ll always think of you and smile
And be happy for the time I had you with me
Though we go our separate ways
I wont forget so don't forget
The memories we made
Ceara stared out at the garden in front of her,
planted eons ago play house to generations of children. It had
been a long time since she had been here. A long time since she
had walked these paths. Years ago she had walked them with
others. The Marauders. They had been her family more so then even
her blood family. They were her everything, and now, they were
lost. Gone in the passages of time and the mistakes of humanity.
Please remember, please remember
I was there for you and you were there for me
Please remember our time together
The time was yours and mine
While we were wild and free
Please remember, please remember me
"James, don't!" Ceara yelled, watching through her fingers as James potter walked across the ten-foot high wall.
"Come on, Prongs, we can't put you back together if you fall off." Peter said, watching the older boy.
"I won't fall Wormtail." James said, holding out his arms for balance.
Ceara whimpered, watching as her brother jumped onto the wall with his best friend. "Sirius no!"
"We won't fall Twitch, now come on up here with us."
"No, it's dangerous."
"And when has that ever stopped you?"
Ceara paused at that then shrugged, jumping onto the wall. She grinned as she tiptoed over to her brother and James, grinning at them.
James smiled and held out his hand to her, pulling her close. He swayed to the music that Remus had conjured for them earlier and Ceara laughed, laying her head on his shoulder.
Goodbye, there's just no sadder word to say
And it's sad to walk away
With nothing but memories
Who's to know what might have been
We'll leave behind a life and time
I´ll never know again
Ceara ran her hand lightly over the crumbling stone wall, tears streaming down her cheeks. The memories were so fresh and clear, as if they had happened just yesterday. The laughter, the tears, the moments spent just being children. One day, one day they would fade, be less painful, but for now, she lost herself in them, wishing they were real and that the reality she knew was a dream. A memory.
And how we laughed and how we smiled
And how this heart was yours and mine
And how no dream was out of reach
I stood by you, you stood by me
We took each day and made it shine
We wrote our names across the sky
We ride so fast we ride so free
I had you and you had me
Please remember, please remember
Ceara snuggled up against James and Sirius, stairing at the stars above them as Remus went on and on about the different constellations. She glanced over at Peter and laughed as he made a face, spitting out an antacid flavored Every Flavor Bean. She laid her head on James's chest and purred as he ran his fingers through his hair. It was one of those moments you would savor forever. Friendship on a hot summer evening. A time when nothing was wrong, everything was perfect and the moment could never end. Time stopped as the five friends lay in a sprawled mass in the Black garden.
James yawned and pushed up his glasses, rubbing his eyes. "We should go in, it's late."
"It's summer." Sirius whined, looking at his friend. "No curfews."
"Yeah." Ceara chimed in, talking through a yawn.
James laughed and kissed her temple. "Come on Twitch, tomorrow's always another day."
"But what if tomorrow never comes, then you'll regret going in tonight."
James wrapped his arms around her waist. "There will always be tomorrow for us Twitch."
Ceara laid her head on his shoulder as they sat up, inhaling his sent. "There better be Prongs."
Please remember, please remember
I was there for you and you were there for me
And remember, please remember me
