Title: Unsent Letter

Author: Sanna Black Slytherin

Summary: Obi-Wan finds an unsent letter when looking through Anakin's desk. One-shot. Anakin/Padmé, a bit of angst. I don't write angst, but I decided to give it a go.

Warning: Not much. Anakin's being melodramatic about the war, but there isn't any violent stuff in there.

Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Star Wars. Even more sadly, neither does George Lucas. He sold it to Disney. It sucks, I am aware.

A/N: I've decided to give angst and romance a go. Up until now, I've only written humor, friendship and pointless fluff. The cover image is from deviantArt's Renny08. It's called 'Come Feed the Rain'.

Enjoy!

Dear Padmé,

I'm at war right now. I'm either dying or fighting for freedom, I can't even tell the difference anymore. Everything around me is shattering. The only thing that I'm still sure of is my love to you. You are the reason I still keep fighting in this pointless war.

Obi-Wan always lectures me about not going into a battle without a plan. But what's the point of having one if it always fails? I did something like that yesterday. Obi-Wan was just about to start lecturing me about the importance of having a plan and always sticking together when I dashed off and found myself surrounded by dozens of droids. The look on Obi-Wan's face when he finally found me was worth it though. Don't tell him I wrote that – he'll kill me.

How are things on Coruscant? Is the Senate still arguing about pointless ideas how to end this war? You know, sometimes I feel like this nightmare will never end. I was thinking – maybe, after the way ends, we could start a family? You said you wanted kids. I'm just so tired of all this secrecy, Padmé. After the war ends, I'm coming clean before the Council – even if they decide to throw me out.

But first, this war must end.

I love you very much, Padmé, more than life itself. You must never forget that.

Love,

your loving husband Anakin

Obi-Wan re-read the letter three times. He then, acting as though he was pre-programmed to do that, put away the letter to where he found it.

It was time he and Anakin had a talk.

A/N: Before you start yelling, I don't usually do angst – or romance, for the matter. I try to stick with humor and friendship. But I decided to give it a go. If you want to continue this story (because I won't – four hundred words is about as much angst as I can write), just go ahead. Just PM me, so that I get to read your story too ;)

Did you like it? A simple 'yes' or 'no' suffices. C'mon, review, it's just one word.
