9:36: Scoop! Haylie Duff is joining the cast of 7th Heaven as a series regular. Her character will go to seminary school. I'm not kidding.
9:52: Dawn clarifies that Haylie Duff isn't entering a convent on 7th Heaven. She's studying religion.

Haylie Duff will also be returning to "Heaven," with her character making the move to seminary school. Since Ms. Duff is appearing on Broadway in the musical "Hairspray," some of her scenes will be shot in New York.
SPOILERISH --- In addition, "Heaven" star Stephen Collins' character will suffer a major heart ailment that will affect the show's story lines, Ms. Ostroff said.

Haylie Duff will become a series regular on CW's resurrected 7th Heaven this fall, as her character, Sandy Jameson, joins a religious seminary. Most of the cast is signed to return, save for Camden kids Mackenzie Rosman (Ruthie) and David Gallagher (Simon), who might appear occasionally. —Gary Levin
