AN: I just had to write this one, it's an idea that was on a back burner for a long time and well, it finally found its way to being written.

Xander smiled as he saw the leather coat in the racks and grabbed it. The costume would cost a little bit more than he had expected, but it would definately be worth it.
He grabbed a few more odds and ends to complete the costume, as well as some hair dye, it would be a great night.

The man slowly opened his eyes to the night, his mind racing at the possibilities of what had happened.
The volcano had errupted, and now he wasn't in the cavern anymore.
He pulled his Global out and groaned, no signal.
"Well, this is Earth, but..." he got a signal off of one of the older satellites, "...How did I end up in the past?"
He flipped to GPS for a moment, "Sunnydale?"
"Xander?" he heard a scared voice from behind him, cauing him to spin to face a strangely familiar redhead.
"Sorry," he responded, "My name's not Xander."
"Stop playing around, the city's gone nuts..." she started walking through a garbage can.
"Erm, why are you non-corporeal?"
"I dressed up as a ghost and now I am one..." she answered a moment later.
"Interesting, so
people became their..." he paused for a moment to find the
correct word,
"costumes?"
"Yeah..."
"I'll assist you for the time being," he said with a strange look.

He glanced at the other man a half hour or so later.
"So, what's new?" he asked Angel as he paced the room

He dropped his pistol when he realized it wasn't hurting his enemies, a smile crossed his lips as he realized what he could try.
And the blond creature turned to dust when he fired a burst of energy from his palms, the diamond shaped markings showing brightly.
"That should do it," he said as the others fled.
"Who are you?" someone asked.
"Kincaid, Major Liam Kincaid, companion protector," he responded a second before the spell ended.

Xander stared at the stars, his mind probing them. He felt the Taelons out there, or at least something like them.
The marks were still on his hands as a sign that he was now a Kimerra hybrid. Further, he felt his fathers presence on the planet, and he knew that he had a job to do.
