A new Pattric drabble, full of ten-year-old innocence and fluffy goodness.

The Sweetest Slice

Patty plucks the tip of the cake delicately with the fork. She carefully lifts it to her friend's lips. Cartman cocks an eyebrow and curiously eyes the dessert, then back at the black-haired beauty. He wonders if this is some sort of wicked manipulation after seeing a smile as sweet as honey curve into her expression. Would things really go back to the way they used to be the following Monday? Where she would ignore him repeatedly as they passed one another in the halls, leaving him brokenhearted?

Two could play at this game. She has no idea what evil scheme he has in mind.

Breaking away from his thoughts, the plump boy opens his mouth and allows the small piece of deliciousness to be devoured. He chews the cake noisily, moaning with pleasure from its taste of strawberries. Patty drops the silverware and hides away her shy giggling underneath her hand. Cartman is about to ask what the problem is, when suddenly he feels a napkin wipe against the side of his cheek. His eyes set on her as he blushes wildly. Patty's smiling contently. Pure genuine is written on her face, like she wouldn't hurt a fly. But that doesn't stop Cartman from leaving her with a surprise.

In a turn of events, he claims her hand and plants his lips upon her knuckles.

And he will do the same gesture again, fifteen years later. After feeding her the first bite of their wedding cake.
