Chapter One
Anna Potter frowned, staring at the moving photos. It had been thirteen years since she had been taken into a suitable family, and at the age of fifteen, she was starting to doubt ever hearing from Professor McGonagall again.
"Sister!" A smile found it's way to the teen's face as she looked down at the small nine year old. Looking up slightly, she found none other than Remus Lupin, her foster father's closest friend.
"Hey!" She excalimed, picking the girl up and standing. "So?"
"You don't waste time beating around the bush, do you?" Remus said, shaking his head before pulling a letter out of his pocket. "Dumbeldore's expecting you next week, he want's to be sure this is for the best."
Anna smiled widely, setting her 'sister' down before jumping up and hugging Remus.

Anna was so amazed to be back inside Hogwarts, that she wasn't paying an ounce of attention to where she was going.
"Ow! Sorry Mr. Filch!" Anna exclaimed, looking at the old caretaker. She had almost been expecting to run into Hagrid...
She took off down the hall before Filch had a chance to start yelling about clumsy Griffiondors, only to run smackdab into the chest of someone she hated since she was two.
"Peeves.." She spat, glaring up at the poltergeist, but something drew her attention from the 'ghost' infront of her.
"Miss Anna, welcome back to the merry halls of Hogwarts!" Nearly Headless Nick called, beside him was The Grey Lady, who was smiling.
"It's great to be back, Nicky." She said, smiling widely as she practicly cheered in place at seeing the ghost's face turn a milky silver.
"Come now, the Headmaster is waiting in his office." The Grey Lady said, gliding behind her and ushering Anna away from Peeves, who crossed his arms and continued around the corner, only to run into a very white Snape.
---
"Ah! Miss Anna, long time no see!" Dumbeldore looked ready to pop, though it might have been because of the Every Flavored Beans box in his hand.
"Headmaster, I do not believe she would want to hear gaging, why don't you put those up?" McGonagall asked, smiling at Anna.
Dispite Anna's appearence, messy, short-cut red hair framing two bluish green eyes, a fifteen year old body hidden by a baggy green t-shirt and a pair of baggy jeans that scuffed the floor when she she walked, halfly covering her worn green sneakers, she appeared to be the easiest thing on the teacher's eyes other than Hagrid, who it seemed Dumbeldore was greatly happy to see most of the time.
"I believe we have already delt with the Sorting Hat, so, I'll have Professor McGonagall take you to Diagon Alley to get what you need before the year starts... Or would you rather get it over with now... what do you usualy call shopping, 'tourture', was it?" Dumbeldore asked, getting a slightly restrained laugh from Anna.
"It would be nice to get it overwith now, the sooner, the better." Anna said, smiling.
