Chapter One –
Deep inside a brightly lit dance club, you can find a young teenage girl dancing vibrantly to the beat of the music pounding in her ears. Standing at five foot three and a half with silky red hair cascading just past down her shoulder blades, she was an arresting sight. As she pulsed to the beat, another young girl could be seen standing off to the side watching Victoria dance with envy through her amber eyes. This was Serenity. Tall and thin with short dark hair with a natural beauty, she could have easily been a model but she was more of the tomboy type. She glared angrily at Victoria turned to tug on her friend's sleeve.
"Come on Sara, we should go and dance too! That new girl can't hog the dance floor all night you know." Serenity's friend turned slowly towards her, shooting her a dangerous look.
"You can't be on the same dance floor as her, besides, this is her song." Her friend said simply. Serenity was disgusted. Who was this girl anyways? She knew little about her, just that she was a new student who came all the way from San Jose to pursue some dance career or something like that. Who did she think she was anyway? Serenity slowly straightened and stretched her long arms and slowly began to stride towards the center of the dance floor. 'Who cares what Sara said? I can dance if I want to, that new girl doesn't own the floor.'
Victoria slowly spun around to the music and suddenly came face to face with a tall girl who seemed to be giving off vibes of anger. Anger directed at her. 'What the hell is her problem' Victoria thought to herself. Without thinking, Victoria suddenly swung out her hip and bumped the other girl. Without warning, the other girl suddenly whipped around and threw a punch straight at Victoria.
"What do you think you're doing!" Serenity cried. Before she knew it, she was swinging her fist at the shorter girl. The girl skillfully dodged her attack and swung her leg at the back of Serenity's knees, forcing her to fall to her knees. "What the hell was that!" She heard the other girl exclaim. Serenity stood slowly and dusted herself off and glared viciously into the other girls golden eyes. "Sorry"
Victoria stood in shock at what had just happened. The girl tries to knock her out and all she does is say 'sorry' and walk away? Disgusted, Victoria straightened out her clothes and walked out of the club.
