Based off an OTP prompt:"Imagine the child of your OTP coming home from school crying. When they ask what's wrong, the child replies it's been bullied. While Person A tries to comfort the child, Person B tries a more 'direct' approach."
Jesse and I were in our typical place, watching TV and waiting on our eleven year old daughter, Allison Claire, to get home from school.
"I hope she's had a nice day." I said.
"How could she not have? You packed her lunch. Cafeteria food always has sucked." Jesse said.
"Very much so." I said.
That was when she burst through the door, sobbing.
The mood changed completely.
"Allison Claire? Are you okay?" Jesse whispered as she ran to the loveseat that she had claimed her own when she was a toddler.
She let out full fledged screams that pained my ears as much as they pained my heart.
I wanted to sob with her. This wasn't the happy Allison Claire I knew and loved.
"Hey, what's wrong, sweetheart?" I asked quietly.
"The pop-popular girl at school, K-Katy James, s-said my outfit looked like I had g-gone shopping in the Dumpster, and then she punched me!" She said, revealing to us a nasty bruise on her elbow.
Anger flooded me as she continued to sob.
Jesse held her like she was still a little baby as she howled and I ran off.
No, stormed off would be way more appropriate.
I ran to the phone book, searching through all the locales named James.
Ah ha.
Katy James, right there.
The spoiled brat even had her own cell phone.
I dialed the number, seething.
"Hello? Katy speaking!" She said in a fake Valley Girl accent.
"You little brat, you insulted and physically hurt my daughter! She has the bruises to prove it! Why don't you crawl into a little hole and-" I growled.
"Gag me with a spoon!" She said.
"I sure would like to!" I yelled.
"I mean, like, you must be A.C.'s mom!" She said.
"Who is A.C.?" I asked.
"Allison Claire the Air Conditioner!" She cracked up.
"Her name is Allison Claire, not A.C., and she is titanium!" I said, the song from my college days coming back to me.
Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium
How appropriate.
A/N:Yeah, not my best work, but still review! I do not own Titanium, by the way.
