Flash!
Kiss Under the Mistletoe.
Berry and Iris were ready to celebrate Christmas with everyone as they got here.
"Sweetheart! Come on down! Everyone will be here soon!"
Iris shouted upstairs to their daughter. She came running down wearing a red and yellow dress holding a green ribbon in her hand.
"Daddy! I can't tie this!"
She complained. Berry sighed but, in a flash, fixed it up in her hair. (Sorry for the pun.)
"Thanks, daddy!"
She said smiling. Soon everyone was here, and the party began. Berry stood at the door and Wally joined him.
"Great party. And my niece looks quite beautiful tonight."
Wally said with a grin.
"You picked the dress?"
He asked. Berry chuckled but shook his head.
"Iris says she did herself. Oliver sent the ribbon over."
He answered. Little Bear (nickname) came over and saw her dad and uncle talking.
"Hey, look who's under the mistletoe!"
A voice known as Cisco. Shouted pointing at Berry and Wally. Little Bear had no idea what was going on.
"What is a mistletoe?"
She asked. Iris glared at Cisco. While Joe explained in a kid-friendly way.
"It's a decoration that you put in the doorway and if two people who love each other they…"
Iris stopped him.
"No. She is only six dad."
But Ralph finished for him.
"Kiss. They kiss. Only if it's love like your mommy and daddy share."
"So, it's like family?"
She asked. Iris was about to yell at everyone, but Little Bear went under the mistletoe between Berry and Wally.
"There! Now I get to give a kiss!"
Iris was speechless. Berry laughed and crouched down letting his daughter kiss him on the cheek.
"Now uncle Wally's turn!"
She said turning to him. Wally had a red face from embarrassment but kissed her on the top of her head. Little Bear was smiling and walked towards her mom.
"Now it's mommy's turn to kiss her daddy!"
She said.
"No that's not how that works."
Cisco trying to explain.
"Uncle Co will get his turn with his dad and brother and sister."
Which Little Bear knew a lot about who he considered family. Everyone laughed out loud. Iris kissed Berry and they knew this Christmas was the best yet.
I wanted something cute and this is what came to me. Hope you like it!
