"KORRA!"
Korra placed down the tea bottle with a sigh, turning to see Mako storming into the room, slamming a newspaper down on the table.
"Yes, Mako?" she asked with a grin, finding amusement in his angry face. His scarf was unwound, one end trailing on the floor while the other barely clung to his neck.
"Did you see this?"
She leaned across the arm of the couch to pick it up.

"Oh spirits, what's on here this time?"
"Look!" he insisted, clumsily flipping the pages for her, leaning over his shoulder.
"Why is the picture all blurred?" she asked, turning it upside down with a squint.
"It's me!" he hissed, reaching around her to attempt to grab the newspaper.
"Is that… is that the two of us? No way! Let me see!"
"It's mortifying!" Mako replied, trying to snatch it. She held it just out of her reach, reading the article aloud.
"'The young Avatar was seen on Republic City's glamorous Kaipho Boulevard yesterday with a mysterious man dressed in red. She-'"
"No! Don't read it!"
She giggled, stretching further so he couldn't read it.
"'Sources tell us that his name is Mako, a novice firebender with a dark and brooding personality…' Oh, Mako, this is good!"
"Novice! Are they kidding? I'm gonna find this source of theirs and fry him!" he fumed. "Hu-hey- give me that!"
"No way! 'After a short trip into the Cactus Club, the pair exited, looking tipsy, holding hands, and a reporter snapped a photo of…' what! 'A reporter snapped a photo of them in quite the embrace.'"
Korra burst into a full-out laugh, pointing at the picture. "Look! Your scarf! Oh, this is golden!"
"It's embarrassing," he growled. "Aren't you freaked out?"
"Nah, they're always following me," she snorted. "Your scarf - oh, I'm tugging on it! This is so awesome!"
"Korra, shut up! There's nothing good about this!" Mako bit back.
"I got to kiss you. That was good," she replied, pouting up at him. He yanked his scarf righteously back to its normal position.
"I just don't want them taking pictures of us!"
Korra stood, walking around the chair to stand in front of the tall firebender.
"There aren't any reporters here now, you know…" she trailed off, hands pressing against his chest.
"Oh?"
His lips connected to hers, spinning to press her to the wall.
A few hours and a trip to the bedroom later, Korra reclined on the couch in her robe, picking up the newspaper.
