Oscar's warmth wreathed around my bare body; the goosebumps that once resided on my skin were now long gone. His arms curled around my frame and held me so close that I could feel his slow, gentle breaths ruffle my hair as he exhaled. The blankets, which were covering us when we fell asleep, were kicked away into an untidy heap at the end of the bed and the edges of the comforter spilled over the side of the mattress, revealing our tangled bodies.

"Oscar," I reluctantly whispered. The angelic boy next to me stirred as I awoke him. His enticing hazel eyes opened, and he let out a groggy sigh.

"Do you need something, Rubes?" he yawned.

I blushed at the use of his pet name for me, "I need to get back to my room. The others can't know about this. Especially Uncle Qrow. I'm not sure which one of us he would kill first if he found out that we've been, uh, together."

Oscar sighed once more and untangled himself from me but resisted my escape from the warmth of his embrace. It had been six months since Oscar had confessed his feelings to me—I had confirmed that I felt the same way about him, too. Five and a half since we'd been dating in secret—the only people who knew about Oscar and I was us, obviously, and Ozpin, who didn't really have a choice, as he was stuck inside of Oscar's head. And it had been four and a half months since we'd been sleeping together. Maybe it was wrong if Oscar and I had been using sex to forget our problems, but even though we might've been doing it for the wrong reasons, we knew that our feelings for each other never dissipated.

"Okay," Oscar finally agreed with a playful huff of annoyance, "We wouldn't want Mr. BadLuck to find out."

"Thank you." I murmured as I pecked a kiss on Oscar's cheek, "But Oscar, his name is Qrow, not Mr—" I cut off when I felt the bile rising in my throat. "Not again!" I squeaked as I dashed to the bathroom. I threw open the door and heaved all the leftover contents of my stomach into the toilet. Oscar appeared a few moments later and wrapped a robe around my naked body. He uselessly pulled back my short red-tinted, black hair and gently rubbed my back.

"Rubes, are you alright? This is the fourth time this week." His voice was barely a whisper next to my ear.

"I'm fine." I managed in between heaves, "Probably just food poisoning." I lied, knowing the true answer—I had known the true reason for four months now. For the most part I had done a pretty good job of keeping the truth from everyone, including Oscar. He didn't seem to find out about this sickness until this week.

I used to wake up extra early to slip to the bathroom. That way when the morning sickness did hit, I already would be right next to the toilet, ready for the misery. But it wasn't until last week when began to feel guilty—after all, Oscar is my best friend, my boyfriend, but most importantly, the father of this baby.

After my stomach had been emptied, I nervously met Oscar's gaze. Behind his eyes flashed several emotions: adoration, nervousness, confusion, love, and concern. I took a deep breath in preparation to tell him the truth.

Oscar narrowed his eyes, "Ren is a top-notch cook. There's no way that you could get food poisoning from his food. Tell me the truth, Rubes."

"Look, Oscar. I never intended for this to happen. I mean the chances are kinda low since we're young. I'm sixteen and you're fourteen. But still, somehow things happen. Puberty happens, and you probably just started it not that long ago. And this is a really bad time since we're on our way to get the relic to Atlas and most of the time we're out in the middle of nowhere—it was a miracle that we were able to find this hotel to stay in for a couple of nights—so it makes it even worse. I want you to know that this doesn't change my feeling about you and I hope that you will still love me when you find out after I. Stop. Rambling. Oscar," I looked down, avoiding my boyfriend's gaze, "I-. I'm pregnant." I could tell by looking at his face that he wasn't sure whether to be proud or ashamed, overjoyed or afraid, or even to love me or hate me, "I'm sorry, Oscar! I've brought you into a huge mess and now," against my will, I broke into tears, "And now I'm not even sure if you still want to love me."

Oscar kissed my nose and placed a gentle hand on my shoulder, "Oh, Rubes. You know that's not true. This coming from, well, a child is going to make me sound like a hopeful romantic, but I will love you until the day I die. Even past that day. And that is true; I wasn't expecting you to become pregnant. Like you said, it hasn't been that long since I began puberty. But we knew what the consequences would be of sleeping together. We looked at the situation and made a choice. And even though there will be hell to pay, I will stand behind you."

"Well, I sure hope you do." I jumped at the female voice behind me, "I mean, if someone knocked me up and then didn't accept the consequences, I think I would hunt him down myself."

"I'm not sure how much of that you heard." Oscar and I turned to face Weiss.

"Too much. But please, Ruby, will you cover yourself with your robe before I go blind?"

"Please don't tell, Weiss! Uncle Qrow would be so disappointed in me if he found out that Oscar and I have been sleeping together!" I tied the robe around my waist and leaped up to my feet.

"Are you kidding me? I overhear a conversation like this and you expect me not to tell? You want to have a healthy relationship with Qrow, but you keep important stuff like, I don't know, you are pregnant from him! Qrow may be disappointed in you, but nothing is going to stop the man from loving you. He may not be your father, but he loves you like a daughter. You need to accept the consequences of what you guys have done and tell Qrow."

My head dropped, "I know." I muttered.

Weiss slipped into the bathroom and took a towel and washcloth from the small closet, "And Ruby. You need to tell Yang. She's your sister. She'll understand."

I hope everyone enjoyed this. I will have the next chapter uploaded ASAP.

Please review! I appreciate everyone's thoughts on my fanfictions and I will accept constructive criticism. I know I'm not the perfect writer and the idea of a fourteen-year-old becoming a father is a little farfetched. But please let me know what you think of this fanfic and feel free to tell me anything you think I need to improve on!
