It was 4:30 in the morning, and the only student awake at the Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters was Jamie Madrox, aka Multiple. He was in the kitchen, drinking coffee and reading the news paper. He had a smile on his face, until he saw someone stumble into the kitchen. He looked over his paper and saw Logan staring at him.

"Jamie," Logan said, "What are you doing up this early ? Any why in the Sam Hill are you drinking my coffee ?"

"Uh, good morning Mr. Logan." Jamie said. "I was just, uh, excited, and so I got up. As for the coffee, I wanted to seem more mature so the other kids might like me better."

"Like you better ? At 4:30 in the morning ? When I'm usually the only one awake for 30 minutes ? And when you're hyper from caffeine ?"

"I get your point."

"Just get back to bed, and give me the mug."

Jamie gave him the mug, but didn't go back to bed. Instead, he headed for the danger room. He wanted to try a Logan session by him self. And so he went to the control room, turned it to Logan Session, which was the highest, and went back into the danger room. As he arrived, long, metallic tentacles came out of the floor, as guns and flam throwers came out of the walls and fired across the room. Five, sentinel looking, robots came out and headed for Jamie.

Jamie slammed his fists together to create several dupes. As they tried to stop the robots, Jamie prime headed for one of the tentacles. He was thrown across the room by one of them, as several dupes were piled on top of him from the robots.

It wasn't too long after that Logan got into the room. He destroyed the robots, guns, flamethrowers, tentacles, and everything else that came out. He, then, headed for Jamie. Jamie was lying against the wall alone, and unconscious. It had seemed that he had absorbed all of his duplicates while he was knocked out. Logan picked him up, and carried him down to the medical lab. He used the lab phone and called Best down stairs. When Best arrived, he took care of Jamie.

Hours later, Jamie woke up. He looked up at Best and Logan and asked "What happened ?"

They both looked at each other, and then back to Jamie. Logan spoke. "You were in my danger room session alone, and I found you before you were dead. I didn't think that you were really going back to bed. But I figured I'd let you learn a quick lesson.

Jamie nodded, and lied his head back down. He, then, went back to sleep. As he did this, Logan carried Jamie up to his bed, and lied him down. Logan sat on a chair beside the bed, and watched him as he slept.

((Later that day Morning))

Jamie woke up, and saw Logan beside his bed. Logan looked at him and said "You alright."

Jamie just nodded his head and said "Yeah."
