As Castle and Becket comb the streets of New York looking for any sign of life on Christmas eve. Castle and Beckett have been out on the streets for almost 4 hours and it's almost 11.30pm. "Castle i told you that nothing would be open tonight everyone has gone home for Christmas eve like normal people"
None of them had spoken in ages just keeping there eyes peeled for a restaurant with a light on and shelter. Martha and Alexis were out of town at their Shack down at the lake, they come back tomorrow morning. Castle and Beckett couldn't go because they had a case they wanted to finish before Christmas so then the family could have some sort of Christmas spirit. "Come on one more block i promise, if theres nothing then we'll go home and i'll try to put something together"
Beckett nodded in annoyance, she walked a little ahead of Castle, Castle having to speed walk to catch up to her. He kept trying to reach for her hand but she kept pulling away.
"Kate, whats wrong?"
He sounded so concerned and worried so she stopped and turned to face him.
"Castle, i'm cold, i can feel my lips going blue and it was all because you wanted to get out of the apartment and…"
Beckett's words faded off from Castle listening when he slowly looked up and saw it, I real Christmas mistletoe. When he came back to meet her eyes he had a childish grin on his face. Her eyes darkened "Castle your not even listening to me! i'm mean seriously-"
"Kate, look up"
As Beckett's eyes rose to the mistletoe Castle kept his eyes on her face and watched it change from anger and being cold to happiness and warmth. When her eyes met his again she said just above a whisper "Mistletoe" All recognition of their little fight before was lost. As his hands rose to her cold cheeks he place is whole palm on them to warm them up as her hand rested on his upper arm. His lips came closer and closer to hers until they finally connected. The kiss was so hot it was warming up her body instantly, he could feel the flush of her cheeks on his palms, but as he didn't let the kiss go on any longer because he knew that they wouldn't be able to stop. As he pulled away they were both a little out of breath, lips only centimeters apart he whispered "We'll go back to the loft?"
Beckett nodded and as they walked hand in hand back to Castle loft to finish up Christmas eve and use their alone time in the loft to their advantage.
