From the Ashes

Rei was standing in her room holding what seemed to be envelopes that was some letters that her long time boyfriend Jedite had written her from awhile back. She walked over to the bedside table and opened the drawer and got a box of matches, then went over to the fireplace and started to burn the letters one by one and started thinking of the memories she shared with her beloved Jedite. She threw the letters into the fireplace after she lit them and just stood there not moving from the spot she was standing at.
She watched the letters turning into nothing as they started to burn. A few tears started to roll down her cheeks when she started thinking back to when she and Jedite first met each other. It was also the same day he had met her sister Jade and their Grandfather. "Hey Grandpa where is Jade? I have someone I want you and her to meet." She said looking around the shrine looking for her younger twin. Suddenly Jade popped her head out of the room and looked at Rei. "Who is it you want us to meet?" She asked raising an eyebrow at her. Rei moved away so her sister could see him. "This is Jedite." The only thing Jade could do is look him over and whistle. "Wow he's a hottie." Their grandfather looked at his youngest granddaughter and then looked at Jedite. "I don't know about you dating Rei but I guess if she's happy with you then fine." He then walked away to do some things around the shrine.
The next memory she thought about was when she went on her first date with Jedite. He had taken her to a movie and dinner afterwards. Jade had helped her pick out the right outfit to wear that night. She wore a red tank top and white miniskirt with matching heels. After she got ready she heard the doorbell ring and it was Jedite holding some red roses. "Hey you look very nice tonight." He had said smiling at her. Rei blushed and said "Thank you." He reached out his hand and asked if she was ready to go. She took his hand soon they were off to go see the movie. After the movie was over they went to a nice restaurant to have dinner. Jedite went over to a table and pulled out the chair so Rei could sit down and then went over to his own and sat down.
And Finally she started to cry more when she remembered how he had broken up with her a few days ago. It was a normal day like any other day he had asked her to meet him at Fruits Parlor Crown where they usually met. She rushed over there because he had said it was urgent. As she went inside she saw him sitting down in the usual spot they sat at. "What did you need to talk to me about?" Rei asked as she sat down across from him. He looked up at her. "Well how should I break this to you...?" His smile faded to a frown. "I'm sorry Rei but we have to break up." Rei looked at him shocked and a bit taken back. "W-What why?" "Because I love someone else." Tears started to form in her eyes and she stood up and ran out of the parlor and left Jedite sitting there.
Jade walked into her sister's room and saw her standing in front of her fireplace and walked over to her. She knew about the break up when Rei came home crying that day. Ever since then Jade wanted to knock him out for hurting her sister like he did. "Everything will be alright sis you'll get through this." She hugged her sister and Rei hugged her back and started crying again and soon afterwards she wiped away the tears. "Thank you for helping me Jade you've been there for me from the very beginning."
