Life finds a way on day six.

The sound of clinking echoed in the cave as a young teen struck the wall with her pickaxe. Taking her helmet off, she wiped away the sweat that had built up.

"Man, this is harder than I thought," said the pink-haired digger to herself. She glanced further into the cave to where she knew her companion was. "I wonder how Hunter is doing?"

Deciding to take a break, she made her way to find Hunter. It didn't take long as she came upon the boy…who happened to be asleep.

Her eye twitched in annoyance as she looked at how peaceful he looked. They were supposed to be looking for fossils, not sleeping! Raising her pickaxe, she then brought it down right next to his head with a bang, startling Hunter out of his dreams.

"I'm awake!" exclaimed the boy, looking around in fear. Upon seeing the girl, he calmed down. "Oh, hey, Rosie."

Rosie glared at Hunter with great intensity. "Any particular reason you were sleeping, Hunter?"

She watched as he rubbed the back of his head and gave her an embarrassed grin. "Well, I figured since we've been at this for awhile, I figured that I earned a break."

Clenching her fists, Rosie brought it down on Hunter's head in hopes of knocking some sense into him. "Idiot! There's no such thing as breaks in fossil hunting! Oh, why couldn't I have gone with Holt? He would more understanding."

Hunter watched as Rosie gushed over Holt before letting out a sigh. "If it makes you feel any better, Rosie, I did find a fossil before going to sleep."

Rosie blinked before turning to where Hunter was pointing to see a large Vivosaur skull. Her pink eyes sparkled in excitement upon seeing the find.

"You finally did something useful, Hunter! Maybe I should reward you when we get back!"

As she fawned over the skull, Rosie missed how Hunter rolled his eyes at her. Even after all this time, she still acted like a spoiled princess. Of course she wouldn't be her if she didn't.

While I know it won't happen this time, I do hope at some point that Fossil Fighters gets better representation in a Smash Bros. game.
