Dinah laid in the round white bath tub with her black hair sprawled over the edge of the porcelain. The bubbles popped and she sighed. Vincent was late. He was supposed to be here an hour ago so they could go to the cemetery and solve another riddle. Edaniel was being as rude as ever, sitting there next to the window in his human form.

"Don't worry, my sweet. You have me here to protect you." He glanced over at her and smirked. He wished a few more bubbles would pop so he could see his darling Dinah, well, all of her unbarring.

Dinah shot him a harsh glance and he made a 'Hmf' sound with defiance.

"He will be here." She said. "I know he will."

While Edaniel was closing his eyes and looking out the window to look for Vincent, Dinah slipped into her white cotton nightdress and started to brush her hair over by her vanity. She brushed her hair slowly, counting the seconds in her head as each strand she brushed, hoping he would come faster.

"He's here." Edaniel announced as Vincent showed up in the window. He seemed a bit out of breath.

Dinah set down her brush and raced over towards the window. She opened it up and smiled at her approaching friend.

"You worried me Vincent. Where were you?" She exclaimed.

"Sorry to worry you. I found a peculiar path in the forest and decided to go see where it led too."

Dinah giggled. ""Curiouser and Curiouser", Alice said." She quoted.

"My curiosity definitely killed the Cheshire cat, that's for sure." He grinned back at her.

He climbed over the sill and walked over to where Dinah's bed was and put his messenger bag down and plopped himself down on a pile of pillows right next to the bed.

Edaniel rolled his eyes. He never really understood those two.

"Humans." He said while looking over at Dinah as she slowly walked over to where Vincent was sitting. She was so easy to read. She liked Vincent, yet Vincent couldn't even tell. Edaniel smiled to himself, thinking of a devious plan.

"Well we are off to go to the cemetery." He stated as he got up from the chair by the window and opened the window again.

Dinah put on a cloak and Vincent got up from the pillows and one by one they headed out of Dinah's room and into the night towards the cemetery. Dinah suddenly got a brisk feel of the cold night and clung to Vincent's arm for warmth. Vincent looked down at her black hair and smoothly caressed her head to offer comfort.

Edaniel got envious and turned into his cat form and started to walk faster than the two and ran towards the path leading to there destination.
