"Say again," Gibbs voice continued to rise.

"I've lost McGee sir. I don't know what happened…"

"What do you mean you don't know what happened? I sent you both to Pearl because of the case and you say you lost McGee. Did you misplace him? Weren't you together? What about his cell phone?"

"I understand, sir. I've tried his cell phone a number of times and it keeps on ringing."

Gibbs tapped his fingers on his desk and Special Agent Tony DiNozzo moved closer to Gibb's desk. "Problem Boss?" Tony smiled.

"Yes there's a problem Tony. Ziva has lost McGee."

Tony stared at Gibbs. "Lost? How do you lose McGee? Oh yah right maybe he was cramping her style boss and..."

Gibbs glared at Tony. "I'll shut up boss, I have work to do."

"Yes you do." Gibbs turned back to the phone. "Okay Ziva you lost McGee you find him."

"But sir." Ziva heard a dial tone. "Just great, I'm stuck in Hawaii and McGee's disappeared.

Ziva looked out over the dock and saw the Arizona Memorial in the distance. It had sounded so easy two days ago. A dead sailor who had gone AWOL from Pearl a month ago.

Two Weeks Ago

"Ziva. Ziva. Ziva. You need to learn the nuances of the English language." Tony beamed.

"Nuances? Tony I speak 5 languages. English has no nuances it is a compilation of all languages and guttural."

"Guttural? Common Ziva?" Tony winced. "Ziva English is universal it speaks for all mankind, downtrodden and oppressed."

Ziva brushed back her hair. "Tony, that is the problem with you American's you think you are the center of the world."

"Well we are," McGee piped up, looking away from his computer, "America is the light shining in the darkness, the purveyor of right and wrong and Hero of the world."

Ziva laughed. "You believe all of this McGee?"

"Yes as a matter of fact I do. Why else would you be here?"

Ziva opened her mouth and then shut it.

"Okay people," Gibbs breezed in with his cup of coffee, "are we done with platitudes."

"Yes, Boss," Ziva, Tony and McGee mumbled.

"Good, because we have a case. A young sailor was found in a bus station. Get your gear and follow me." Gibbs quickly made his way out of the office with everyone trailing behind.
