Inuyasha was finishing his packing for the move to Kagome's era. He was not to crazy about the idea of having to go to live in the present. But what ever made Kagome happy, made him happy. Now Naraku was dead, evil demons put to rest, so, there was not a whole lot left for him to do there. Also, now Kagome was expecting a baby. He could not even think of leaving her all alone to bare his child. He thought to himself that this might not be all that bad though, he can get a job, what ever that was, and support his own family! Kagome had taken the liberty of being a housewife.
As Kagome was packing a few more things for inuyasha to bring to the present, Shippo come trotting in, balling his innocent eyes out. He jumped into Kagome's arms and dug his head into her shoulder.
"What's wrong Shippo?" Kagome asked sweetly
"Don't leave us! We want you to stay with us! Please Kagome! Don't leave!' Shippo managed to blurt out in between massive amounts of tears.
"I have to, Shippo, but I promise, I will return to visit! I might even bring back a little surprise next time." Kagome said while rubbing her over grown girth. Shippo giggled and hopped out of Kagome's arms onto the mat below her feet.
Shippo reached his hands out to touch Kagome's stomach, then jerked his hand back to his side. Kagome looked at the little fox boy sweetly. She reached for his hand and put it on her stomach. Shippo looked at her stomach and started giggling.
"Your tummy thumped." He said and looked up at Kagome.
He looked back to her stomach and cocked his head, examining her stomach closely. He laid his head on he stomach and closed his eyes. Kagome looked down at him and smiled. She cupped her hands around the little boys head giving him a tender hug. Inuyasha walked next to the door ands embraced the frame while looking at the site of a young women and a child together lovingly. Kagome looked up at him and smiled dearly. Shippo looked up, while his smile soon turned to a frown. Kagome released Shippo and picked up a bag to carry it out. Inuyasha rushed over and helped her with the heavy load.
"You should not be lifting heavy things, Kagome. You will hurt yourself" inuyasha said while looking at her with the most caring expression. Kagome stood on her toes and kisses inuyasha lightly on the cheek.
Soon they were both packed and ready to go back to Kagome's era. Sango and Miroku stood at the edge of the well waiting for the couple to go to the present. Shippo sat on the edge next to kirara. The little cat jumped up on to Sango's shoulder and let out a long 'mew'. Kagome giggles and scratches her head.
