"Hey guys!" called a certain black haired schoolgirl, leaning on the railing outside of the shrine. Her schoolfriends glanced up, almost in a disturbed way. She propped her head up with one hand, the other arm lying over the side. "Why don't you come up?" The group of girls cast a curious look at each other before directing their attention to the question. "Uhm..Kagome?" one began nervously. "Should you be up there? Ya know, with your lukemia and all." Kagome stared blankly at her, before giving herself a sharp slap to the forehead. "Not again!" she moaned.
After stomping back into the house, the puzzled expressions continued to follow her. "Geez, what's wrong with her?" another girl wondered out loud.
"HOW COULD YOU? LUKEMIA!?" A loud shriek came from within the house. Mrs. Higurashi shrugged nervously, edging away from her raging daughter. "Well..you know him. Not the best liar.." she said coolly, trying to protect her dad, but to no avail. "I'LL KILL HIM!" Kagome roared, stomping out of the house and grabbing her backpack. Buyo jumped down from his perch on the cabinet, and followed.
Kagome sighed to herself, keeping a brisk pace down the flight of steps that led to her home, the bright yellow pack resting on her shoulder. What was with that guy? Can't even make a simple lie.. She was even looking forward to seeing that grumpy hanyou, who on her last visit shoved her down the well without a second thought. It wasn't exactly her fault that leaf got in his Ramen...but did he seriously have to take it out on her?
"Oh, just darn him!" Kagome snapped under her breath, stumbling over a lone rock in the center of the path. "If he wasn't half the company I had..EEEEP!" she squeaked, tumbling over a stick. "AAARGH!'
After inspecting the wound, it wasn't as bad as she thought. "I'm such a KLUTZ!" moaned Kagome, getting to her feet. Couldn't one day go by without her tripping? "Now I'm reeeeeally looking forward to seeing someone who cares.." she grumbled, trudging towards the well house. The door creaked open on touch. Once inside, Kagome was much more cheerful, despite the gloomy atmosphere of the surroundings. Buyo leapt on the well after darting his way between her legs. Mrow! Kagome patted the soft fur of his head before flinging her legs over the side and dropping in. "Urrgh...I hate this part!" she muttered as the familiar colorful wave of time travel greeted her. "Hello?" she called up from the well. "Can someone get me out of here?" Nobody replied. "Well!" Kagome huffed, standing up and attempting to climb out of the well. "You are REALLY gonna get a sitting for that, buddy!" She gulped and glanced down. "If I get out of here!"
Breathing heavily, she heaved herself out of the Bone Eater's Well. Landing with a soft thump on the grass, Kagome proceeded to scream for her half demon companion. Seeing he wasn't coming, she sunk down beside the well to wait.
The hanyou boy winced and covered his ears, almost falling off the perch on an old tree far from the well. That was odd..it almost sounded like a village girl. But nobody came near him, unless they were insane. He jumped down from the tree, staring in the direction the well lay in. Giving a little twitch of his ears, the sound did all the work.
Kagome growled under her breath. Once she got her hands on him...wait, what was that? She cursed quietly. What a day to get attacked by a youkai, especially when her "protector" wasn't around....
