Me: Yo, this was inspired by the song 'Are You Happy Now?' by Megan and Liz. And I don't own the song of the characters in this fic!
Lettuce knew she was different, ever since she was little. She was smarter than everyone else, and she wasn't as athletic as other kids. Sometimes she was louder that the other kids, and that's why she became shy later in life. But that's why the mews loved her. She wasn't like everyone else, she was powerful, and some said she could over power many people on Earth, but that was before she met the three Betties. (A/N: I don't think they had names in the original)
They seemed to enjoy putting her down, pushing her around, treating her like a slave. She was scared by the words that they said to her. They made her feel like she couldn't make any friends. But did it really make them happy?
Pai wasn't like the other guys at the training camp, he read books more often than her trained, and liked it, but the other guys didn't. They had no idea that he'd be the one chosen to go to Earth and save their people, but back then the just hurt him, and hit him until he bleed.
They had fun as they did it, too. It made Kish feel sick, seeing his adoptive brother beat and hurt like that. He had scars new every day, and his mum, dad, brothers, and sister couldn't help but feel sorry. But did it really make the bullies happy?
Both Pai and Lettuce wanted to find out the reason these people hurt them so badly. Did they used to get bullied? Were they being bullied themselves and took their anger out on them? They also wanted to find someone who would understand them, and some real friends.
The bullies seemed happy enough. When Lettuce became a mew, she was happier. She had finally found the friends that she wanted, and she thought that she might have found more, an alien who knew what pain she had gone though, and had the same goal as her: to talk to someone who understood about it. When Pai left for Earth, he was useful, for the first time in his life. He felt that his brothers, who had gone though bullying as well, were able to help him, and he had, though he would never admit it, fallen for Mew Lettuce, the only mew who seemed to share the same pain as him, the pain of bullying.
Were the bullies happy about what they did?
Me: This was a short kinda-song-fic that was made to raise awareness about the affects of bullying. It's really bad, I should know, I have tried to commit suicide because of what people have said. If you know someone who's being bullied, stop the bully and become friends with the victim, they will deeply appreciate it!
