Chapter 1- Newest Probie
Veronica stands patiently in the long cafe line waiting to get her morning caffeine boost.
Great my first day and I'm going to be late, especially if this line doesn't start moving any quicker, all because I need my coffee in the morning.
She feels a light tip on her shoulder which make her turn to find a charming looking man wearing a suit and tie.
Tony- "hi could I cut in front of you, I can't be late for work"
Veronica- "and you think your different to everybody else because..."
Tony- "look sunshine I'm sure whatever you've got going on today is really important to you, maybe a sleepover or a college party but my boss will kill me, I just can't be late"
Veronica- "sorry white rabbit everybody has got there tea party to get to"
Tony- "did you just reference Alice in wonderland at me" he says looking impressed
She nods her head. Her phone then starts to ring. Tony is standing right next to her so he hears both sides of the conversation.
Veronica- "Hey dad, are you checking up on me? "
Keith- "just wishing you good luck on your first day and check your not late."
She shared a look with Tony before answering.
Veronica- "dad when have you known me to be late"
Keith- "good point. So are you going to play nice today... well nicer then normal?"
Veronica- "I'll try"
Keith- "love you sweeter"
Veronica- "you too" hangs up
Tony looks at her with a smirk on his face.
Veronica- "what?!"
Tony- "nothing, I just jumped to the conclusion that you were in college and like 18 or something"
Veronica- "and?"
Tony- "well I heard its your first day of work so good luck" he says with a smile.
Veronica- "did you listen to my conversation?"
Tony- "Maybe"
