The drive to the airport was quiet, if anything. Nothing could be said or done to prevent the inevitable. Rory's visit to America was over and he had to say goodbye to the life he had there. He had to say goodbye to life he had with Sam, the boy he loved more than anything. They spent their last night together making sweet, passionate love together. They wanted to remember everything about each other: the softness of their skin, the saltiness of their sweat, the feel of lips leaving scorching kisses up and down their bodies. Afterward they held each other close, both crying slightly but never letting go to wipe away the tears. Sam knew for a fact that Rory was the one for him. He wanted to spend every day and every second with him. But he knew he couldn't. As much as he was going to miss Rory he knew that he shouldn't keep him from his family. They missed him and needed him. However Sam felt that he needed Rory more.

(flashback)

"Rory?" Sam whispered against his ear.

"Yeah Sammy." he replied.

"Will you marry me?" he asked. Rory pulled his head out of Sam's embrace and stared at him.

"What?" Rory asked. Sam sat up in their shared bed.

"I'm not asking this to make you stay but I know you are the one from and distance will never change that. We might be young but we can wait. I'll wait forever if it means I can officially make you mine. So what do you say?" Sam asked.

"Of course I'd love to marry you." Rory said and hugged Sam tightly, letting more tears fall down his cheeks.

They pulled into the airport parking lot and Sam helped Rory get his bags. Together they walked hand in hand into the building, ignoring the stares of people that didn't understand their love. They went through security and customs and made their way to Rory's terminal. Once they made it to His gate, Rory wrapped himself to Sam, clinging on to him for dear life. He sobbed into Sam's neck and it broke Sam's hearts.

"Sam, I can't leave you," he wailed. Sam kept a firm hold on Rory as he tried to hold his tears back.

"You have to Rors. We'll see each other again." Sam replied.

"I love you so much. I don't want to be alone again." he replied.

"Rory, you'll never be alone. I'll always be thinking about you. Everyday and for the rest of my life. And once I get enough money I'll visit you." Sam promised.

"And we'll get married? Like you said, right Sam?"

Sam laughed lightly. "Yes. Of course. Until then we have email, phones, Skype. We'll be fine. Okay?"

Rory nodded. A woman's voice came on the speakers saying that the flight to Derry Ireland would be boarding.

Sam looked at Rory whose normally bright blue eyes were red and puffy from crying. Sam grasped the sides of Rory's face and pressed a long passionate kiss on his lips. He felt an ache in his heart when he let go.

"You should probably go." Sam said quietly.

Rory nodded. "You're probably right. I love you so much."

"I love you too. See you later, okay?" Sam asked.

Rory smiled." See you later Sammy." he said and hugged Sam, placing a chaste kiss on his full lips. In that moment Sam tried to permanently remember everything about Rory- his scent, the shape of his body, and the way it felt to hold him. Rory gave Sam one more fleeting look as he turned and walked on to the plane.

Sam immediately ran over to the window, pressing his hands against the glass. He waited until the plane took off when he started crying, resting his head against the cool glass.

"I love you Rory." He whispered.
