It was a very hot day at the Jeffersonian. The temperature a record high at 123.3 degrees. What made it worse was the air conditioner stopped working.
Dr. Saroyan gave everyone permission to take off their work jackets. Everyone obliged. Everyone but one certain squint. That squint was none other than Zack Addy.
Zack wasn't sweating at all, but to everyone it looked like he was going to pass out.
Angela noticed and walked up to him. "You know we can take our jackets off right?" Zack said"I know but I don't think its hot."
Angela just stared at him like he was crazy. She knew he was lying but she left it alone and walked away.
Angela walks back to Hodgins. "He looks really anxious", she said to him. "I know but there's nothing we can do,"he said
Booth walks up to them. " I know yall are squints and all but even I know that you wouldn't wear jackets on a day like this," he said," but why is Zack over there wearing one?"
"No one knows. He said its not hot but we know he's lying" Hodgins says.
"Poor kid looks like he's going to faint any second now" Angela said.
Zack knows they're talking about him and thinks he crazy 'well you are, aren't you?' "Shut-up"He says Zack is getting really hot but he can't take off the jacket. Everyone will know his secret. 'Like anybody would care about you!' 'Zack calm down, don't get yourself worked up'
Zack kept arguing with his self. He than noticed it was getting dark. His eyes was losing focus. He was then falling. The pelvic bone in his hand slipped out and crash to the floor. His head hit the side of a counter and was down for good.
Dr. Brennan noticed that Zack wasn't acting like his self. He looked scared and nervous. She was watching him with the other squints. All were concerned for him, even Booth was worried.
She noticed he was starting to shake bad. The others noticed too. They were wondering what was going on. Dr. Saroyan joined them .
As if the world was going in slow motion, the pelvic bone slipped from his hands. Zack was falling. Booth tried to run over .catch him but it was too late. He knocked his head on the counter and was out.
The whole Jeffersonian went quiet. No one moved. Than as if someone snapped her out of it, Dr. Brennan started yelling out orders. "Call the paramedics" "Take his jacket and shirt off" "Cool him down"
Everyone obliged.
After they took the jacket and shirt off, something caught their eye.
Almost 50 long scars scattered across his arms. Everyone looked wide eyed and scared.
No one spoke, they just watched. Hodgins was really scared. Dr. Brennan, Angela, and Dr. Saroyan was on the verge of tears.
Booth just looked like someone stabbed him.
The paramedics then came to get Zack some professional help. It was Then 10 minutes later that they were aware of what was going on.
They all ran to the parking garage and got in their respective cars and fled to the Hospital.
They had been there for an hour now and no one told them what was wrong with him. Angela had cried almost the whole time. They were all upset. They were running out of patients.
"For the love of god, I will punch them in the face if they don't hurry up!" Booth yelled angrily
As if someone heard them, a doctor came in saying,"Family or friends of Zachary Addy"
Everyone got up and started shouting at the same time. "Hold up everyone."The doctor said. Everyone went quiet " Zachary Addy is..."
