I had a burst of inspiration, so I figured I'd try this. This will NOT be a whole game-wide thing, it's only going to be a oneshot unless:
1. I clear up some stories and FINISH them ("What's Going On?" is about halfway there, as things stand.)
2. I get MAJOR inspiration. . .which knowing me, isn't impossible.
Basically, this is about 14 years before the story takes place, right when Kratos loses Lloyd and Anna down the cliff. Enjoy!
If I owned the game, Kratos would be the main character. I don't own anything though.
Kratos ran though the forest that was down the cliff, searching frantically for his son and love. He hadn't really killed Anna. . .did he? He couldn't have! He was hysterical with worry, and he couldn't believe what had happened. When he stabbed the monster – no, his wife – the final time, she fell backwards down the cliff, pushing Lloyd and Noise with her. Did they all-
No, don't think of that, he thought. Tears ran down his face as he searched for what seemed like forever. Finally, he found something.
It was tragic. Anna's now-normal body lay dead in amidst seveal Desians. But. . .what had happened? Was Lloyd now-
"Whine. . ."
Kratos whipped around and had his sword out in a second. Noishe was standing there whining at him. "Noishe!" If Noishe survived the fall, then he must've protected Lloyd. . .so Lloyd must be alive! Kratos realized. "Can you take me to Lloyd?"
Noise whined again and pointed his muzzle to his back. He almost seemed to say, "Get on," to Kratos.
Kratos jumped on Noishe so fast that if Noishe was human he would've winced. Noise nevertheless trotted away deeper into the wood. Kratos felt more tears come down, but this time, they were happy tears. His son was alive. If at least one of his family was still alive, then he had something to hold onto. But he couldn't go back to Cruxis-it was the reason his wife was now dead. Would Lloyd and he have to keep running? Forever? He couldn't abandon Lloyd-he was the only thing he-
"Daddy."
The sound was so small that only Kratos' angelic ears could only hear it. But was it his imagination? It was so quiet that-
"Daddy!"
Now he knew.
Parental instinct took over as he jumped off Noishe and ran into the wood, looking desperately for his son. He soon broke out of the trees to see a shining blue lake with a small boy sitting at it.
"Daddy! Daddy! I can't find you! Waaaaahh!"
"Lloyd?"
The small boy turned. Both Father and Son had tear-covered faces and wide eyes, plus both were dirty and worried.
But that was forgotten.
"LLOYD!"
"DADDY!"
Kratos fell to his knees as his son ran into his arms. Kratos didn't even bother getting up, and he fell into a sitting position with his son on his lap. He feathered Lloyd's hair as Lloyd grabbed the corner of Kratos' cloak. Both just sat there as tears once again ran down the faces from the relief of finding one another. I have Lloyd. . .he's safe. . . Kratos thought.
My son is safe.
I know it's short, but ISN'T IT SO CUUUTE??? Lot of tears made in this one, but you can't say that there probably weren't that many. Review please?
