Roxas cried. For the first time in his life, he cried. He had always thought that it was impossible for a Nobody. But who would have ever thought that three simple words could ignite such supposedly non-existent emotions?
These emotions, though there were many, did not include despair. The tears were tears of joy, relief, and most importantly, love.
I love you were the three words powerful enough to bring XIII to his knees. The bearer of the words was not only his fellow Organization member, but his best friend.
Axel held the smaller boy tight, tracing little circles on his back, trying to calm him down. He had no idea that his confession would affect Roxas so much. The red-head was instantly hit with regret. He felt horrible for making the boy cry. All of his fears, though, vanished instantly when Roxas looked up from the crook of the older man's neck and cerulean eyes met emerald.
I…love you too.
Axel smiled and wiped the tears from Roxas' eyes. The blond, in return, watched a single crystalline tear as it made its way down Number VIII's cheek.
They say that Nobodies have no feelings. No hearts, therefore no emotions. They say that Nobodies cannot cry. They are wrong.
