Prolouge
The wind was gentle, and stirred the sea of long grass before her that created a distance from the small town that appeared abandoned. She had never seen a scene so peaceful in her life. It felt familiar, safe, home. In the spur of the moment, she raced down the flower-covered hill, hopping over stray stones that stood in her path. A small, pale hand pressed against a strangely carved stone and proppeled the seemingly frail body into the air. Once her dainty feet hit the ground though, she was streaming through the terrain with grace, long locks of the color of cherry blossoms followed behind her.
Stumbling, she climbed up the concrete steps, and she turned around to face where she had run from. Viridian eyes were wide in awe and wonder, at the entrance of the shrine tunnel which seemed so distant from her view. Unaware to her, tears lightly slid down her cherubic face, she was home. Home. Home. Okaa-san. Otou-san. As if the wind responded to her call, it gently brushed past her face and slithered through the grass like water, taking her tears with it. This place was familiar, so familiar that her heart hurt, yet a deep sense of calm settled over her petite body.
Brushing back her waist-length pink hair with a frail hand, she continued into the small town that was empty. So desolate. " Come. Come home hime-sama. Did you forget us? We've been waiting for a long time. It is time you returned home."
Her pink brows furrowed in concentration. "Where. Where are you? Where can I find you?", she responded with her timid mouth. She knew that voice, somewhere, in the deep recesses of her mind that voice was so..? So what? The wind blew loudly across the empty road before her like the roar of the ocean.
" We'll find you Sakura-sama. Wait for us. Wai-".
The voice was drowned out by a sudden rush of water, surrounding the young female with frightening speed. Her heart pumped in her ears, instinctively, she closed her eyes tight. She was afraid, so afraid. The water was so fast, so fast, as if everything slipped out of her reach. Slowly, she sunk to the abyss with her unusually colored locks sprawled around and above her like a halo.
She woke up.
I know it's short, but it's merely the prolouge, and the start of my first fanfiction.
I'll try to make the chapters longer, but I have little time to do so.
